Is Paul Finebaum running for Senate?

I’ll repost what I said about this in the Current Events thread…

I always thought Mississippi was the canary in the coal mine for how truly fucked up American politics can be, but it seems that Alabama is really that state.

The way to political success in Alabama is a strong connection to SEC sports, especially football, which pretty much explains everything wrong with Alabama politics.

I'd think a connection with SEC sports -- all things being equal -- would make you better than the average deep south senator.

Tuberville is pretty bad, but : (1) he spent a lot of time outside the SEC, and (2) I wouldn't judge all SEC politicians by that one.

I'm pretty sure Senator Finebaum would be 100x better than Senator Roy Moore.

Tuberville is far worse than “pretty bad.”

If Alabana was willing to elect someone from Florida (Tommy Tuberville) to the Senate, then I see no reason why Alabama shouldn't now elect a resident of Charlotte, NC (Paul Finebaum) to replace the guy from Florida in the Senate. But I do admit this doesn't speak well of what Alabama voters think of their fellow residents.

Rank Tuberville as compared to the following:

Markwayne Mullin
Tom Cotton
Ted Cruz
Josh Hawley
Ron Johnson
John Kennedy
Rand Paul
Joni Ernst
Marsha Blackburn
Ernst
Cotton
Paul
Cruz
Kennedy
Blackburn
Johnson
Hawley
Tuberville
Mullin
