I could have sworn my questions were about Israel and Gaza and genocide……you know, the subject of this thread.

Your problem (and the problem for other apologists for the Israeli atrocities) is no one can tell us how they can “destroy Hamas” without mass murder of innocent Palestinian civilians. But y’all are OK with that because you don’t believe there are any innocent Palestinians. Just own it.

When Hamas builds terror tunnels under civilian infrastructure, it is essentially impossible to be able to strike those tunnels while avoiding collateral damage. I have said numerous times on here that Israel doesn’t care about Palestinian civilians while Hamas intentionally uses Palestinian civilians as human shields and martyrs to further its objectives.

You justify Israel’s atrocities by labeling them “collateral damage.” They are being bombed and starved. And all of it is completely unnecessary.

Israel vows to stop aid boat carrying Greta Thunberg from reaching Gaza

According to a live tracker on the vessel, the Madleen was sailing north of the Egyptian coastal city of Rosetta on Sunday morning, roughly 300 miles from Gaza.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has vowed to block an aid vessel carrying Greta Thunberg and other activists from reaching Gaza, by “any means necessary.”

The Madleen departed Sicily last Sunday, aiming to breach Israel’s naval blockade on Gaza, deliver humanitarian aid, and draw attention to the worsening humanitarian crisis in the enclave.…”

I’ve been largely ignoring the so-called Freedom Flotilla as a stunt, though pretty disgusted by a lot of people openly wishing harm for Thunberg. It sounds like things may have come to a head and the Malden was turned back or perhaps the protesters arrested. Hard to know right now as it seems almost every source in this sideshow is a propagandist of one sort or another.

Bombing Hamas commanders hiding in underground terror bunkers isn’t just necessary, it is sound strategy.

How do,they know who is Hamas? Do they have knuckle tattoos like Trump claims Venezuelan gang members do?

Hamas doesn’t exactly keep its leadership secret. And those terror tunnels aren’t exactly open to Palestinian civilians.

Then why bomb them? Go into the tunnels and get them like we did in Vietnam.
That’s a literal suicide mission. Also, it takes days to plan such a mission whereas a bomb takes minutes. A ground mission would simply involve sacrificing soldiers to take out Hamas terrorists that moved to a different location hours to days prior.

Is this serious? We bombed the shit out of Vietnam. And Laos. And Cambodia.
We certainly did. And we had tunnel rats clearing out extensive tunnel networks. They had about a 30% casualty rate (5% killed and 20+% wounded.) My cousin was a tunnel rat and was seriously wounded. He’s 76 now and very active, fit, and doing well. He lives in Tidewater but spends most of his time at his house in Duck these days.

They can’t. Wars are like that. Innocent people die.

It's sad that they are so frightened by a boat carrying food, medicine, and baby formula that they are forced to commit a war crime to stop it. Yes, since the boat was in international waters, it is a war crime (and act of piracy) to attack it.

In 2025, you expect Israel to sign up for a ground assault that will kill so many of their own soldiers when the Hamas people are in tunnels? The bar for Israel is impossible to clear.
I guess option 2 of leveling all of Gaza (except the tunnels, somehow) is a much better option.

Doesn’t forgive the suffering piled upon civilians in Gaza but if this IDF claim is accurate (and IDF has made it pretty clear any of their claims require confirmation by credible sources), then it does create a lot of questions about who among UN, WHO and European aid officials knows what about Hamas tunnels under world agency hospitals and other locations.

Fake news! Israel built those tunnels to frame Hamas.

And you still refuse to believe every single western intelligence service and instead post conspiracy theories cooked up by Hamas.
Beginning, IIRC, with the lie that IDF bombed a hospital, when it was Hamas who bombed their own hospital.

It's sad that you don't understand why they have to stop every boat, truck, etc coming into Gaza.
