You don't believe that anything has ever happened for the first time?
The set of events, behaviors, actions or occurrences that have never happened before is literally infinite. The chances of any of those things happening are literally infinitessimal. You need more than rank speculation to justify it.

When you are doing training as a firefighter, do you prepare for the possibility that a fire elemental monster will emerge from the burning building and rampage through town setting fire to everything in its path? Why not. Just because it hasn't happened before doesn't mean it won't happen eventually.

If we are going to invent hypothetical scenarios, it's far more likely that a terrorist gets a bomb that already exists -- from Russia maybe, or Pakistan or India -- and uses it against the US in retaliation for the support of this genocide.

This is your theory? This is the series of events you are imagining.

1. Iran starts enriching uranium for a nuke more or less after the invasion of Iraq. There might have been some halting efforts before that, but they ramped it up because they realized that it was the only way to guarantee they won't be invaded next.

2. Iran gives up its weapon enrichment program in favor of a diplomatic solution that involved trying to a quasi-peaceful foreign policy.

3. Trump rips up the deal, and Iran starts enriching more. They especially start enriching more when he returns to office.

4. All in all, Iran has spent tens of billions of dollars making a nuke for self-defense. It's taken two decades at least. It's been their primary domestic weapons program.

5. But instead of keeping it, they are going to gift this device -- for which they have paid so much in blood and treasure -- to Hamas, with the expectation that Hamas will use it offensively against Israel.

6. They are going to do this despite the fact that smuggling a nuclear weapon is exceedingly difficult for a number of reasons, and if they get caught, everything they have done will be for naught;

7. They are going to do this even though the use of the bomb by Hamas would be the end of Iran.

8. They are going to do this even though Hamas has no way of deploying it. Nuclear bombs are considerably less effective if detonated at ground level. So it would not be nearly as devastating as people might think, but Iran is going ahead with this plan. Also, Hamas could get caught with the bomb, as it's quite different than giving some dynamite or an AK to barely trained fighters.

9. Hamas will do this even though it risks destroying the holy land for which Hamas is fighting. Not only would the holy grounds be destroyed; the surrounding area will be more or less unlivable.

10. This is going to happen even though the purpose of the Iranian proxies is to create the cheapest, most expendable fighting force possible. That's why they used suicide bombing. It costs almost nothing to put a small bomb in a backpack of some young man who climbs aboard a bus and detonates it. It requires no training. It requires no money. But now, having nurtured these proxies, Iran is going to hand them tens of billions of dollars worth of weaponry.

And this line of reasoning is how you justify genocide? This is why people think you are racist. What you are saying to justify mass starvation is something that makes no sense at all. Small children would scoff at this. Skeletor had more sensible schemes. Maybe you are just this stupid, but more likely, you just do not care (or celebrate) what is happening to people you do not care about at all.
Super, your constant resort to ad hominem attacks after you got caught trying to JCD for Hamas makes you a non-credible poster at this point. If you want to apologize, I'll engage with you further. If not, super ignore it will be. Your choice.

There's no ad hominem attack. I'm making a logical inference based on your posting. That you deem me "JCDing" for Hamas is both telling and preposterous. But I apologize if you took the attack personally.

Anyway, it doesn't matter if I'm non-credible seeing as how virtually all posters here -- certainly on this thread -- have the same position. YOU are the outlier. It's sort of astonishing that you think you're smarter than everyone else.

It's also telling that you have no response to 1-10.

There were a lot of Germans and Japanese who hated the US in 1945. Ten years later we were best friends. Money talks. Most people, when choosing between revenge and destruction or peace and prosperity for their families will choose the latter.
Why do you think they stopped hating the US? Maybe it's because, after the war was over, we stopped brutalizing them and in fact helped them rebuild and became allies with them against a common enemy.

And the US has never been "best friends" with Japan, largely because of US resentment. Which perhaps wasn't crazy for the WWII generation -- but all the "Oh no! Japan is taking over LA and NYC" hysteria from the 80s and 90s absolutely was.

You have a habit of ignoring the actual words that I say and pretending that I said something else. You then attack the imaginary post that I never made. You got caught defending Hamas yesterday and never retracted your post. You have called me a racist numerous times and have attacked my moral compass for daring to suggest that Hamas surrender. You have a history of resorting to physical violence when you get mad at posters here (just ask your wall). You have threatened to leave numerous times and yet here you are. At this point I think you need to take some time for reflection and to look at your priorities. You can reply to this, but I won't see it.

Yep, totally normal behavior for people who have sound arguments. My hand was not about anger, but anyway. The reason that I have come back is that many posters PMed me asking me to stay. I literally quoted your posts and responded to the exact words you used. Anyone and everyone who knows me -- on this board and elsewhere -- knows that I do not straw man. In fact, I am committed to doing the opposite and nobody does more "in fairness . . . " posts than me.

You're the one who preposterously claimed some moral high ground because you are a "public servant." Derek Chauvin was also a public servant in exactly that way. Andrew Cuomo was also a public servant.

No how, no way has Super defended Hamas.

No how, no way has Super defended Hamas.
He stated yesterday that Hamas has not caused the Palestinian people to suffer. When asked to explain that statement, he pivoted to personal attacks and attempted to deflect. A hit dog hollers, as they say. Gaslighting won't work here.

Dude just needs to save face, so he makes shit up and slinks off.

Thing is, I've complimented him several times. I've learned things from some of his posts and I've said as much. Then he went off on this topic and also "attempted murder is not a crime" on the Breanna Taylor thread.

This is what I wrote.

I didn't say that Hamas hasn't harmed the Palestinian people. I said that it's not currently the cause of their suffering.

And you complain about being strawmanned even as you say this is JCDing for Hamas. This is why nobody would ever miss you should you depart.

Also, before he tries to gaslight any further:

super, yesterday:
“Hamas isn’t causing the Palestinian people to suffer.”

Very transparent. If anyone would like to continue making his points without the Hamas JCDing and Trump-esque personal attacks when his words are used against him, by all means. I’ll engage reasonable posters. Super is not a reasonable poster.

Ross Douthat sounds like a hype man for Bibi. Israel lost any high ground it had when it decided that an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth wasn't enough. Bibi demanded an arm, and a leg, and a head, and land, and aid, and an innocent starving child. If there is any justice left in this world, Bibi will face his day in the Hague and be sentenced for his crimes against humanity.
Yeah, one might think Israel started prosecuting a just war, but that adjective ceased application a long time ago. It’s not a recent development as Douthat would have it.

I’m just checking this thread to make sure Super isn’t JCD’ing in favor of Hamas.

I haven’t looked for an hour or two…..,

Has he been going all dookie in favor of Hamas?

Same. I couldn’t believe it when super endorsed Coach K for Tillis’ seat then said Hamas is the rightful heir of the Levant. Been refreshing the thread, with bated breath, since.

He certainly was a couple of days ago. Has he been doing that since then? Couldn’t tell ya. 😀😂

Two leading human rights organisations based in Israel, B’Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights, say Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza and the country’s western allies have a legal and moral duty to stop it.

In reports published on Monday, the two groups said Israel had targeted civilians in Gaza only because of their identity as Palestinians over nearly two years of war, causing severe and in some cases irreparable damage to Palestinian society.
