“… Israel decided to halt humanitarian aid, which Israeli officials confirmed, following calls from Israeli politicians across the political spectrum for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to respond forcefully to the attack against troops.
… Flare-ups of fighting between the two sides have occurred several times since the cease-fire came into effect, but this is the first time that Israel has responded with widespread strikes across Gaza. It is also the first time Hamas successfully killed troops since the halt to fighting….”
So, Israel starts pulling out and thousands of Hamas terrorists immediately restart fighting not only Israel, but murdering over a hundred Gazans in a relatively obvious attempt to, among other things, retain power.
If I woke up tomorrow to find the sun rising, I would be equally shocked.
Violent clashes have erupted between Hamas and rival groups in several areas across Gaza, including an incident that culminated in an apparent public execution, as worries grow about the security situation following Israel’s withdrawal from parts of the territory.
