The best outcome here is:

1. Israel is successful in harming Iran’s nuclear program.
2. Iran’s response against Israel is effective enough to give them a “win” while not doing any real harm to Israel.
3. Iran’s inevitable response against the US is ineffective.
4. Trump keeps his mouth shut and lets things die down naturally over the next few months.

I’m not at all confident all that will happen, but I’ll be hoping it does.

What’s crazy is the easiest thing to control is #4 and that’s the least likely.

Maybe " the world will align with Israel on this " but this action seems a bit fishy given that our Middle East envoy was going to fly to London today to continue efforts for a diplomatic resolution to this.

An Israeli newspaper has reported that the U.S. colluded with Israel to pretend an interest in continuing efforts to seek a diplomatic resolution in order to set up a surprise attack on Iran yesterday.

The only alternative to this report is that Bibi gave a middle finger to Trump's diplomatic efforts this weekend and pretty much let Trump know he has no influence in this situation.

So which is it ... collusion or humiliation ?

I don’t know much about Iranian governmental structure. Is this saying most of the military generals got wiped out or is this the equivalent of the President’s cabinet getting wiped out here.
