U.S. Officials Concede They Don’t Know Whereabouts of Iran’s Uranium Stockpile​

Rafael Mariano Grossi, the director of general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said he believed Tehran’s stockpile of near-bomb-grade nuclear material had been moved before the strikes.


“… But there was also evidence, according to two Israeli officials with knowledge of the intelligence, that Iran had moved equipment and uranium from the site in recent days. And there was growing evidence that the Iranians, attuned to Mr. Trump’s repeated threats to take military action, had removed 400 kilograms, or roughly 880 pounds, of uranium enriched to 60 percent purity. That is just below the 90 percent that is usually used in nuclear weapons.

What the fuck are you talking about? The JCPOA boxed in Iran and guaranteed nonproliferation with a strict inspection regime. Trump ripped up that deal, Iran got back in the nuclear weapon business and now Trump is dealing with the results of his own actions. Is it too much to ask that we just have an opposition party in this country that stops treating the American people like children and speaks to them frankly? Tells them to stop being dumbasses, in a sweet, little way?

I know it's anathema. But I have stated that I would love for a politician to dress us down. Tell us what we are. Because, it's true. We are just dumb assholes, spoiled as hell.

It would be quite the gamble, but I think something would resonate. Couldn't be any worse than what we have had. If charismatic enough, they could help a cultural change.

The JCPOA does not require Iran to submit to “anytime, anywhere” IAEA inspections of facilities and military sites where nuclear activities are suspected to have occurred. Instead, Iran can delay inspections for 24 days. Of course to idiots like you, iran would never cheat on their promises. That fact, plus the sunsetting clauses included makes the entire deal worthless. But pussyfist, I mean pacifist John Kerry, thought giving iran billions and lifting sanctions for them to agree to inspections, delayed by 24 days was a great deal. anyone supporting that deal is an idiot. Not surprising at all where it came from.​
