This sort of comes across as making perfection the enemy of good.Why the hell does anyone think a terrorist regime was actually playing by the rules on that little show? I'd bet everything I own Iran was not showing the inspectors their whole hand there.
Iran was incentivized to limit its nuclear program and the monitoring was multi-layered, including around-the-clock surveillance on some areas. The consensus among those who are not necessarily inclined to trust Iran seemed to be that it was working fairly well. At the very least, those concerned about Iran’s nuclear program were given much more access to monitor it than before (or after) the agreement.
