Israel launches attack on Iran

Some of you might be too young to remember, but we once had a president named Obama. During his administration, the diplomatic, foreign affairs, and scientific expertise within the government was unprecedented. Every position was filled with a subject matter expert. Sure, they messed up from time to time, maybe had a tough time relating to the folks in Vidor, TX, but they stuck with the hard problems, learned, and tried again. Their words were annoying, but the outcomes were pretty good.

Believe it or not, way back in that Obama time, the Iranian government was also all “death to Israel!!!!! Death to America!!!!! Arrrrggh!” They were working on a big boom bomb then, too. And guess what? Over the course of years of diplomacy, leverage from allies, sanctions, and talkin’, the Iranian government was years and years away from a viable big boom bomb, and they ever agreed to it.

Something must’ve changed, I suppose, but just thought y’all might appreciate the history trivia.

When Trump sent this message at 5:09 pm ET tonight, was he sincere? Was he giving a pretense of cover that Israel wasn’t going to attack knowing they were?

Honestly?

I kinda do.

I think Trump doesn't mind chaos at home as long as he thinks he can be perceived globally as a bringer of peace.

I used to not believe it, but I think in his demented mind, he can bring about world peace. Yes, this will include bribes and kickbacks to Trump businesses, but that's all the little minutia that makes it happen. I'm beginning to think Trump legit wants peace in the world, and his demented brain thinks he can make it happen.

But I'm going to give him and Rubio credit IN THIS INSTANCE. Because they're making it clear this was Israel acting on their own. They knew it was coming--that's why they removed non-essentials from Iraq today. Iran has said that anytime Israel attacks them, they'll blame us. And Rubio and the administration know this. So they're trying their best to distance us from this.

I don't disagree with you.

I also believe that if any other person was in the White House that had the relationship Bibi and Trump claim to have, they would've stopped Bibi from acting.

Netanyahu knows he can do whatever he wants because we have a weak president, that won't stop him.
