Israel launches attack on Iran

Meanwhile, earthquake detection in Iran suggests HEAVY bombing (which got changed to “binging” at first by applicable software — Apple?) by Israel — of Fate saying GFY to the Iranian PTB.

[Polish right wingers so … let’s see]

Or an underground nuclear bomb test.
I doubt it is, but if Iran had even a single nuke I think they would likely use it on Israel if they thought their own survival (or, more specifically, the Iranian government's survival) was in jeopardy. I don't think many Americans realize just how small Israel is geographically - including occupied areas in the West Bank it's about the size of New Jersey - and thus would be extremely vulnerable to even one nuclear bomb. Again, I doubt that Iran has one (at least yet), but unlike some I think they'd be willing to use it if they thought Israel was on the verge of destroying their government or economy.

On Reddit so take with a truckload of salt but rumors that “big news to come in the next few hours” about the last barrage on Israel.

Israel says Tehran residents to 'pay price' after Tel Aviv, Haifa attacks

“… Video footage showed several missiles over Tel Aviv and explosions could be heard there and over Jerusalem. Several residential buildings in a densely populated neighbourhood of Tel Aviv were destroyed in a strike that blew out the windows of hotels and other nearby homes just a few hundred meters from the U.S. Embassy branch in the city. The U.S. ambassador said the building sustained minor damage, but there were no injuries to personnel.

… Iran's Revolutionary Guards said the latest attack employed a new method that caused Israel's multi-layered defence systems to target each other and allowed Tehran to successfully hit many targets, without providing further details.

The Israeli Defence Force did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the strikes. There were no reports in Israel of interceptor missiles hitting each other. Israeli officials have repeatedly said its defence systems are not 100% and have warned of tough days ahead.

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz said in a statement: "The arrogant dictator of Tehran has become a cowardly murderer who targets the civilian home front in Israel to deter the IDF from continuing the attack that is collapsing his capabilities."

"The residents of Tehran will pay the price, and soon." …”

we are nothing but animals on a small pebble. animals kill other animals whether it be for food, territory, power, sex, idiotic religions, for sport or just because they can.

always have and always will.

At what point does Russia get further pulled in? Iran is the supplier of Shahed drones and surface to air missiles. I have no doubt Putin wants to “mediate” in order to keep the Iranian military support flowing.
Russia is paying N. Koreans to fight in their military because they can't defeat Ukraine.

I don't think they're going to get involved.

Our country's recent history in this region is that we overestimate others' military capability, we overestimate the probability of regime change and, when regime change does occur, we overrate our ability to forecast the consequences of regime change.

I'm skeptical that any American has a solid grasp of what is going to happen next.

I wonder how many people are having "end of times" thoughts based on current events.

I like to check in with Paul Begley once in awhile....for entertainment purposes. I have to imagine he's having a heyday right now.

"Are you serious?'

America usually assumes people want to choose their leaders and want religious freedom, etc. That area of the world wants neither.

you mean like the 20 year war in afganistan vs brown people on camels or the vietnam war vs orients with mules donkeys water buff in rice fields

the only thing impressive about our military is how much we spend on it yearly
We aren't sending ground troops into Iran. The most we would do would be airstrikes and cruise missiles.

So wrong. There's much impressive about our military, starting with the folks who serve. As for your colors, only about 7% of the world is not, "brown" as you call it so chances are, conflicts are with them.
