Y'all, when gt is the voice of reason on a thread, maybe it's time to re-evaluate.
This was almost certainly a software bug. It certainly has all the trappings of one. Here's one extremely plausible way it could have gone down. I used to see these issues frequently:
1. Vendor has been working on the software for quite a while, long before Biden pulled out his name.
2. Bad programmer, trying to test or fix something, hard codes Biden and Trump into the code at one point, and then forgets to change it back. Either that, or the programmer skips over the object model because 99% of the time, the model is just transparent.
3. System is tested on a dummy database, and it works fine.
4. System gets connected to the official vote counting database. But there's no Biden there. So the Dem nominee gets left off because the database lists Kamala but Biden is still hardcoded.
This is so much more likely than the implausible set of assumptions needed to support the "it was intentional" narrative. If this was affecting paper ballots, it might be different. The fact that it's only on the e-voting system strongly suggests software bug.
