Mack Brown gone - will not return after 2024 season

Oh, yeah, it's clear that most know nothing about what is actually happening (and in this case perhaps NO ONE posting knows anything at all).

At this point, I hope its Belichick & Son because I don't think I can take another Nascarl/Bunting hire. But I gotta say that Belichick feels like it could make the Butch Davis era look serene ... and I worry about him walking off the job after a few weeks of dealing with recruiting/NIL or mid-season if he thinks college kids are crybabies or whatever. Or him getting sued by players for using harsh language or something.

*sigh*

I don't actually worry about a few athletes causing him to quit...he'll drive them off the team before they cause him to step down.

I do think that after a couple of years of dealing with all of the off-the-field insanity that goes on in college football he may decide to hang it up and go back into retirement.

I'm also worried that he's close enough to Shula's all-time NFL win record that an NFL offer could pull him back...but I also wonder if his interest in our job is an indicator that he's gotten the message that the NFL is over for him.
