MAGA/MAHA/TPUSA/Far Right coalition starting to splinter?

Just more proof that the MAGA movement is a drawing together of some of the most miserable, catty, and worst people in the country. They're all so loathsome that they can't even stand one another for very long. With any luck they'll all destroy one another, except that unfortunately at election time they still all vote lockstep for MAGA candidates.

I’m reminded of a comment in The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings about orcs.

Someone, maybe Sam or Merry/Pippin, said something about two gangs of orcs along the lines of “I hope they keep fighting and kill each other off.”

A wiser head said, “Yes. They might. As soon as they see us though, they’ll stop fighting amongst themselves and kill us. They hate each other; they hate us more.”

Sam and Frodo are in Mordor. They hear 2 orcs following them. The orcs are arguing and the result is one kills the other. Sam expresses hope, while Frodo tells him the orcs do hate each other but they hate us more. If they had seen us they would have stopped their arguing until we were dead.

  • Josh Pitcock - tight with Pence since Pence was in Congress, including Chief of Staff to the Vice President from January 2017 to July 2017, when he left to become Vice President of Governmental Affairs at Oracle.
  • Marc Short - Republican political operative since the early 1990’s. Hired by Koch Industries in 2011. Transitioned to run Freedom Partners, a Koch brothers political group through 2016. Joined Trump-Pence campaign and then Administration in 2016.
  • Art Pope - enough said.
  • Greg Jacob - legal counsel to the Vice President, March 2020 to January 2021. Opposed John Eastman’s efforts to overturn Biden’s victory.
  • Jeff Knight - Chief Government Relations Officer at Old National Bancorp, the largest bank HQ’d in Indiana.
  • Victor Smith - was Indiana’s Secretary of Commerce when Pence was Governor.
Americans Advancing Freedom has close ties with the far right Christo-nationalist Council on National Policy and ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council).

I’m guessing the Kochs and other right-wing oligarchs fund Americans “Advancing Freedom.”
