When opposition to unjustified, unwarranted wars of aggression means “isolationism” and opposition to the influence of foreign powers and their US proxies on our foreign policy means “antisemitism” these words have lost all meaning.

This what decades of membership in the US Senate can do to people.

I have zero data to support this, just vibes… but I feel like there may be a turning of the tides at some point here and Trump will lose his allure. A McCarthy moment maybe in the future? There are public voices of dissent popping up here and there more than ever. I think the pubs see the writing on the wall for midterms… it’s the economy, stupid. They’ll turn on him once it looks like it’s a safe option. Opinion change can look slow but then feel like it happens all at once.

I'm getting that same vibe. Maybe even after the primary. If the war continues, bodies start coming home and gas goes up to five or six bucks a gallon, I think it's over for him.

A big part of his allure was America first and not getting us into foreign wars and then we got into a war that was completely an own goal. And then another big part was blaming Biden for the economy and severe inflation. Looks like we might be in for it even worse.

This week’s battles seem to be focused on Turkey and Mike Flynn all tied together by associations with Alexander Dugin as sources of deep red state conspiracies to undermine MAGA.

And we must hold every single spineless GOP congressman and woman who bent the knee, propped up and supported this abortion of an administration accountable. They must be forced to own this shit for the rest of their lives. Feet to fire. There's no "I made an error in judgement" or "I was told to fall in line or else" or "I was fooled by a con man" or "I knew Trump was bad all along but I played the game to protect America when push came to shove..."
Nope. Little Marco Rubio, Lindsey Graham with his hollow "I'm out, but I'm back in" speeches, Concerned Susan Collins pearl clutching, even Marge Greene (too little too late), and hundreds of other GOPers too many to name here... they're all complicit. They were all given thousands of off-ramps to do the right thing. They gleefully accelerated past every single one of those off-ramps. There's no turning back now. No mercy should be given to a single one of these slimeballs in the end. They can all kick rocks. And some can kick those rocks from jail.

It continues but I took the rest down to avoid any implication of promoting it. Folks on the right are scrambling mostly to disassociate or some to debate/rebuff his POV.

to be fair to mitch, all indications are that joe kent is antisemitic but he can be that and still correct about the folly of us going to war with iran.

and someone should ask mitch why there are raging antisemites in important positions all throughout this admin and the gop if they allegedly care about jewish folks so much.
