When we look back on all of this, one of the hardest things to rationalize will be that the actual crazies like Tucker, MTG, Candace Owens and Alex Jones found the spine to call Trump what he really is and call for his removal from office far earlier than the "normal" Republicans like the entire congressional delegation and the conservative posters here.

And it’s not like these scumbag opportunists suddenly saw the light. They simply realized that the useful idiot was slowly but surely becoming more useful as a foil than a hero.

That's what I was thinking. Fox has been nothing but a GOP propaganda network from the very beginning. It was never primarily a straight news network, although in its earlier years they had some credible reporters like Chris Wallace and Shepard Smith. However, those people were all eventually driven out of the network, and even with them the primetime lineup was always nothing but right-wing talking head opinion programs. Fox has always been a joke of a news network, but it's been a brilliantly effective Republican propaganda machine - and Megyn was happily a part of all that in her Fox days.

And while they're telling the truth about Fox and Trump now, I do think it's clear that the main motivation of all of these former Fox hosts - Kelly and Carlson foremost among them - is bitterness. It's a long and unhappy fall from influential Fox News superstar with a top-rated show to a mostly ignored podcaster/satellite radio host with a dinky audience that's a fraction of what you used to have.
