March Madness - Wolverines new champs

Eh, other than the FF, Cadeau did not have a superstar year. Last year's stats and this year's stats are the same. I'm sure he's improved as a player, but it's not in the statistics.

You guys focus too much on the stats. Anyone watching him play this year would agree that the difference in confidence and overall impact on the game were stark.

This Michigan team was one of the great teams of the last 25 years. They had 8 players average between 7 and 15 points per game. Elliott averaging 10 and 6 with higher shooting efficiency on that team is much more impressive than what he did on ours.

Having a coach that believes in you, surrounds you with great talent, and allows you to play through mistakes can be the difference between a so-so college career and a Final Four MOP.

Not many, but some of yall are some sour ass motherfuckers about Cadeau. The guy is CLEARLY a better player under Dusty May than he is under Hubert Davis. That is a product of a lot of things...better scheme, better roster, better relationship with his coach. But trying to justify somehow that he isnt better or shouldn't have been retained here is just idiotic and small.

Great player who should have been a career Heel but won it all (and I do mean ALL) somewhere else because our coach didn't get the most out of him. End of that story.

Cadeau’s been good all year and ran that offense really well. He was the straw that stirred the drink, and it was a hell of a drink all year long. To be fair, I thought Tar Heel fans under-appreciated and underrated Cadeau while he was at UNC. But there was also one notable statistical improvement. He improved his 3pt% from .337 on 2.3 attempts per game last year to .379 on 4.3 attempts per game this year.

I was not happy when we let EC walk and I’m thrilled he won the NC and got the MOP for the final four.
Maybe Hubert could learn a lesson from this, but if he did it probably came too late.

That game was a good example of how you don’t need to outrun the bear, just simply be faster than the slowest guy.

The bear in this case was taking an L in the championship game.

No doubt holding Michigan below 70 pts was the game plan… getting the game in the 60’s gave UConn a real chance at the W. The game was in the grinder from the get go. An ugly game and UConn’s strategy almost worked.

Michigan proved to be just fast enough to outrun the slowest guy, and avoid being eaten by the bear.

Thanks to UConn for taking out d00k.
Also thankful that Hurley and UConn didn’t get another Natty.
I’m ok with Michigan getting another title, they deserved it, they were the best team all year long.

In the end, the best team won and that’s how it ought to be.

He was certainly better and also surrounded by a cast of much better teammates.

As someone mentioned earlier he was in the perfect situation for him. A team that could withstand his mistakes and thrive on his strengths.

May put together an almost perfect combination of players.

Unfortunately, he wasn't going to win it all at UNC regardless of who the coach was.

Better yet accept that HD was ass. I ll let it go if our program recovers from his tenure.
He won 70% of his games went to a national title game, had no scandals, and lost his job.

You can call him any names you want and continue to vent your anger toward him, but its pointless.

He did his best, came up short and got fired. That's how it works. Not sure why you take it personally.

Most memorable games from the NCAAT.

1- UConn over dook
2- Michigan over Uconn
3- VCU over UNC
4- Iowa over Fla
5- High Point over Wisconsin
