March Madness - Wolverines new champs

Yes, I'll never understand letting him walk. Had he had a solid big last year or probably ends up different.
Cadeu was not working here-he was not that effective, he was not happy
There were lots of reasons no doubt
We shall never know what would have happened if he stayed with HD another year?

Wilson and Veesaar would have made EC look a lot better I think.
yeah, cadeau on our team this year (and thus no evans) makes us top 10 and a legit national contender.

i said it from the moment i heard the news, it was absolutely nuts that HD/tanner let him leave.

especially after enduring the ups and downs of his freshman and sophomore years to not get the upperclassman payoff was fucking infuriating.

They wouldn't pay him enough. They should have. Hopefully it's a lesson learned but I don't think they thought he was worth 2 million. Looks like he was.
I think the pay was a secondary issue. We had a $14mil budget, I don't think $800k for our starting PG was the real problem here.

It seemed that when Cadeau left, neither side was heartbroken and both sides were looking for something different. I don't think Cadeau was a good fit in HD's system and I think both sides realized it.

With a year of additional results to view, we can see who clearly won that decision.

Man, that Michigan team was big and dominant. Made UConn look small. I was pulling for UConn, but when they started missing all those 3s in the second half, I knew it was all but over. Also, what the heck was up with that rim? Michigan couldn't buy a 3 at that end either in the first half. One of the announcers alluded to it during the second half but quickly dropped it.

You were right.

They should have worked it out OR brought in a stud to replace him.

Hopefully Malone will help improve the Heels Portal game.

any system that can't make a pg like that look good needs to be binned. he isn't a perfect player but he's got a LOT of strengths.

I don't agree with this. Guys are moving around these days looking for a bigger payday. This type of thing is going to happen a lot.

Hubert simply didn't win enough.
He didn't do a good job evaluating the talent and keeping Cadeau.

From all I read it seemed to come down to the staff choosing to move on and not pay him.

Michigan played about as poorly as they could have offensively and still won rather easily.

Cadeau is a floppy little weasel. He’s a spoiled brat and it oozes from him. I gave him the benefit of the doubt his freshman year but he didn’t mature at all, and still hasn’t. Same instigating ref-baiting tactics all season long. Flinging himself to the floor like a dookie.

Despite his talent I was not sorry in the least to see him go, it was in the best interest of everyone. Good for him he went somewhere he was coddled and it worked out well.

And let’s not act like he just set the world on fire. The FF was struggling for an MOP after Mara crapped the bed last night. On Sat he was 5-17 and had 6 turnovers with his 10 assists. He had a pretty good couple of games, and it was good enough.

Seems like some internal issues. The real problem was they didn't land one of the other top portal PGs.
