I’ve been curious to hear someone on scene mention the number of shots they heard fired. None of those I’ve seen/heard interviewed have mentioned hearing any shots so maybe it will be a small number.

Katie Sun ’28 was studying in the Engineering Research Center lobby when she heard gunshots around 4:10 p.m. She evacuated the building, leaving behind all her belongings, and ran to her dorm for safety.

“It was honestly quite terrifying. The shots seemed like they were coming from … where the classrooms are,” she said.

Refath Bari GS was walking down the stairs in the ERC when he heard gunshots.

“There was confusion and then people started running,” he said. “I ran as fast as I could to the other side of the street towards Thayer Street, and then I found a student and went into her apartment.”

At least he stayed on topic and didn't mention the Democrat affordability hoax, sleepy Joe Biden, the Russia hoax, the Epstein hoax, or the rigged 2020 election. But then, it's only a 30 second clip so it's possible he did after that.

Rachel Friedberg, a Brown economics professor, said the mass shooting happened in a review session for the final exam of her Principles of Economics course. She said she learned what happened from a teaching assistant who led the session. Friedberg herself was not present.

“The room has stadium seating with doors that enter at the top,” Friedberg said. “He said that the shooter came in the doors, yelled something — he couldn’t remember what he yelled — and started shooting.”

“Students started to scramble to try to get away from the shooter, trying to get lower down in the stadium seating, and people got shot,” Friedberg said. “I don’t know if they’re the only ones who got shot or not.”

Danny offers some good advice which everyone every single day should follow...I am at brown university they have not confirmed a shooter in custody please do not believe trump and stay inside

Tretta was shot in the abdomen in 2019 when a 16-year-old opened fire at Saugus high school, near Los Angeles, killing two people, including her best friend.

“People always think, well, it’ll never be me,” Tretta told the New York Times. “And until I was shot in my school, I also thought the same thing.”

On Saturday, she was in her dormitory, studying. She had initially planned to study in the Barus and Holley engineering and physics building, where the shooting took place, but had changed her mind as she was feeling tired.

How many times has your child been in a lockdown over a suspected shooter on their school's campus?

I count three times during Middle School for my daughter. Gracias a Dios nothing deadly ever developed.

Neither do laws against murder
If the success of a law was measured by 100% adherence, then no law is successful.

Laws against murder are pretty universal and we don't have the NRA fighting against them.
Is your point that we should have neither?

The NRA and many on the far right are actually fighting against gun laws.

Also, I would bet that while neither eliminate the crimes they do actually help reduce the overall member of crimes.

A gun ban will make it harder to own a gun in that area, but it can't address the fact that one can drive to an area where there isn't a gun ban and buy a gun.
