How many times has your child been in a lockdown over a suspected shooter on their school's campus?

I count three times during Middle School for my daughter. Gracias a Dios nothing deadly ever developed.
Thankfully never. This isn't something that should be normal for children.

Two lockdowns involving gunmen on or adjacent to campus: one when an armed suspect ran onto campus while fleeing law enforcement and another when there was a shooting adjacent to campus. There was also an after school drive-by shooting during a baseball game when a man was killed while walking down the sidewalk across from the ball field. Winston-Salem.

They were apparently able to track and eventually catch the suspect with cell phone data. Will be interested to understand how exactly. Did they have a suspect and tracked their cell phone or did they look at all cell phones in the area that took a known path?

If the success of a law was measured by 100% adherence, then no law is successful.

Laws against murder are pretty universal and we don't have the NRA fighting against them.
Is your point that we should have neither?

The NRA and many on the far right are actually fighting against gun laws.

Also, I would bet that while neither eliminate the crimes they do actually help reduce the overall member of crimes.

A gun ban will make it harder to own a gun in that area, but it can't address the fact that one can drive to an area where there isn't a gun ban and buy a gun.
It's not about stopping all shootings. Of course any law won't do that. But change could make it harder to carry out, making them less frequent, and bans on assault weapons could give more people a chance to survive them. It's like seat belts. They don't prevent deaths in every car accident but they sure help make them less likely.

The bureau can use their CAST team to look at every single cell phone in a geographic area regardless of whether on or off but it usually requires legal approval. It can be done without in emergencies.

No confidence in Brown’s President or the Mayor providing us any useful information regarding the shooter. Why no picture or name of the suspect? It’s like they’re hiding something.

Daily Mail reporting the shooter drove 17 hours from Wisconsin with two guns. Jewish Economics Professor’s classroom was targeted.

Maybe you should- I don’t know- let it all play out for more than 24 hours before you start peddling your usual crap.

I’m not trying to give hints to criminals, but in this day and age you have to be absolutely idiotic to have a cell phone with you for your criminal escapades.

Law enforcement has led the briefings. Why would it be up to Brown’s President?

I think you can relax, you’ll find out who the shooter was.

Going to absolutely ruin ram’s day when instead of being a transgender Muslim it’s a White mid-20’s kid from Wisconsin with a history of mental health issues who grew up in a staunch conservative household which fetishized guns.
