This theory makes a lot of sense. Dude was likely a very smart guy that had a good future in physics and for some reason or other it all fell apart. He sees the MIT professor that he murdered at what his life could have been.

And of course now that we've social media solved it, it will likely fall apart and they'll find some manifesto with the guy railing about the time the MIT professor stole his pencil in that very same classroom 20 years ago and he's been holding on to that grudge.

If I ruled the world, one of my first acts would be to create a civil cause of action with a massive automatic damages award (maybe $100,000?) against anyone who publicly names an innocent person as a crime suspect. Tell the police all you want. But this public doxxing of innocent people thing needs to have some severe penalties associated with it.

In the United States, Portuguese Americans are officially classified as "White" on federal forms, not "Hispanic"

Portugal is an overwhelmingly Christian majority country, with adherents of Islam being a small minority less than 1%
So I'm guessing this shooter was not a Muslim terrorist.

Why do you think he’s Muslim? He’s Portuguese. That is a Catholic country.

Why do you think he’s anti-American? Two of the three people he killed were foreigners.

Like most school shootings, this appears to be some dude with mental health problems who blames other people for his loser status. Something that likely describes 95% of school shooters.

There is no evidence that politics had anything to do with this.

You need to stop trying to make fetch happen every time there is a shooting. Those sites you visit are lying to you.

An apology would be utterly meaningless if it didn't come with the ability for him to review the fact that he has been consistently and egregiously wrong in terms of the information that he's provided to the board in virtually every shooting incident to date. With that acknowledgment would necessarily come an evaluation of the sources of media that he chooses to consume because he did not become so grossly misinformed in a vacuum.

He's never going to do any of that. I don't think he has the capacity for introspection. I feel like there has to be a very strong correlent between narcissistic tendencies and personality and being MAGA- they lack the capacity to ever be wrong.
