We actually went. Morrow didn't specifically answer questions, just talked in general. She stressed discipline, an audit and sounded like she was on the stump campaigning.

Green answered the questions and stressed more funding. His motto was to improve the performance of the system.

I know that this campaign doesn't get highly funded, but how did we not get even one single ad that nailed Morrow for her violent and insane comments and actions?

Is there anyone in North Carolina who has done more to boost the chances of Democrats running in a state-wide race than Mark Robinson? It was a stroke of genius by the Illuminati to rig the primary in his favor.

ETA: Of course, immediately after posting the above, I get an email from Jeff Jackson stating that now that Mark Robinson's campaign has self-destructed, all the outside funding that was going to Robinson, is now being funneled into Dan Bishop's campaign for Attorney General. DARN! Not only is Mark Robinson incompetent, but he is incompetent at being incompetent.

Green mentioned her crazy comments during the debate and got a lot of applause.

My Uncle was a School Superintendent and Morrow scares the heck out of him. He said she wants to end public education which many have said but when I hear it from him it hits home. This election may have more consequences than the Presidential election for North Carolinians.

I think if she wins she'll be a nightmare, and will turn out to be a lot like the crazy Public Ed Superintendent in Oklahoma, Ryan Walters. He's patrolled social media to find liberal teachers across Oklahoma and get them fired, he's forcing conservative Christian religion into the school system (including buying large numbers of Trump Bibles to place into schools), and he's also been accused of wasting and grifting from public school funds. Walters has vindictively gone after certain school districts and district superintendents by withholding needed state funds from them. He's also alienated even many Oklahoma Republicans in the state legislature, and I believe they've launched an investigation into his antics. One GOP member of the legislature has called for the federal Department of Education to investigate him, as he believes that Walters has been misusing federal and state funds for education. It's a disaster. And if she wins we'll get the same behavior and treatment here, imo.

Folks, try to convince your Trump-loving family and friends to vote for Mo. I'm doing my part and have had some success. Sometimes, the insanity they allow for with Trump doesn't carry over as much to others, especially if there are kids/grandkids/nieces/nephews who stand to be impacted directly in the very near future by this dodo bird.

GOP candidate for NC schools chief has spread falsehoods, ‘groomer’ rhetoric

"... She has promoted Q-Anon conspiracy theories, says some teachers are “groomers” and has said the “plus” in LGBTQ+ stands for “pedophilia.” On the campaign trail she often calls public schools “indoctrination centers.” Four years ago, she said former President Barack Obama should face a firing squad - which she has later said was a joke.

Morrow has never before held public office. Two years ago, she ran for a school board seat and lost. Then, in what was widely considered a surprise, Morrow won the Republican nomination for state schools superintendent by a narrow margin over the incumbent.

Her inflammatory rhetoric may have been what vaulted the newcomer to the party's nomination, according to Michael Bitzer, a professor of politics and history at Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina.

... Morrow says even though she homeschooled her children for part of their education, she still cares about public education.

“I really want to get safety and discipline as well as academics back in the classroom, and not have any politics and all of the social activism that we have,” Morrow said. ..."

We have had tons of mailers that are anti-Morrow. My wife is Registered Republican, I am Unaffiliated.

When I went to vote yesterday, there was an older lady wearing a Michelle Morrow shirt imploring people to vote for her because she wants to keep boys out of girls' sports.
