I'm wanting advice on artists/bands I should listen to that play blues-tinged country.

The biggest current artist in this vein that I can think of is Chris Stapleton, but I'm looking for other good recommendations.

C'mon, ZZLP, help me with your accumulated knowledge.

Chris Stapleton now has his own channel on Sirius XM (channel 63). They play a lot of his music, obviously, but yesterday they played George Jones followed by Led Zeppelin. This morning it was Guns and Roses followed by Nikki Lane. It's a good channel. I suspect you'd discover some of what you're looking for there. Little Steven's Underground Garage is also good (channel 21)..

Is this blues or just a lament? Not sure if any of this is in the ballpark. Still on my first cup of coffee so not tracking completely

I wouldn't call that blues.

I did like it, though, so I appreciate you posting it.

I second Sturgill Simpson, Marcus King and Charley Crockett. Tyler Childers has some more soulful/ bluesy songs.
The Band
I love Tyler Childers. Absolutely love him. Although I have to admit that I like his older stuff more than his newer stuff, but I like it all.

The Band is a good mention.

And I'll check out Lukas Nelson and the Promise of the Real.

So far, you could pretty much go to the Outlaw Country channel on Sirius XM and hear almost everyone on this thread. Fwiw, it's the channel I leave the radio on.
I used to have Sirius XM, but I got rid of it awhile back. I felt like it was often too repetitious. (Although, if the 4,217 emails I've received since then are correct, I can renew for $4 a month.)

When I had SXM, I did listen to a lot of Outlaw Country. It's a good station.
