Help me to understand this: if X amounts of votes are thrown out in the election contest of Alison Riggs and Jefferson Griffin, citing the ballots are irregular, the why are the same "irregular" ballots not thrown out for all contest in the same district. Perhaps, the rejected ballots may cause other (R) candidates to lose?
As best as I can understand the logic, none of the candidates in those other elections complained (nor would it have likely made a difference). That appears to be the logic for the other counties, too. Riggs didn’t complain about the Republican ballots.

In retrospect, Riggs should have launched a prophylactic objection to every ballot in NC on the same grounds as Griffin.

I think I said this earlier but without the reference to condoms. 😎

Yeah, it's simply a procedural thing. There's an election challenge in front of the court, filed by Griffin. They are resolving that challenge.

That doesn't justify any of that bullshit.

“… What happens now is that things will slow down. The trial court will decide if Justice Riggs has a good constitutional case on the merits. Whoever loses that will likely appeal to the Fourth Circuit (likely before a different panel, if today’s order was from a motion’s panel), with the case potentially ending up at the Supreme Court. I expect things will continue to be expedited, but it will take months more to fully resolve.”

The good thing is the DNC now knows the ballots that are going to be targeted should the federal courts not find in their favor. I assume they are working behind the scenes to ensure enough of those ballots can be "cured" to avoid the election being overturned. This whole thing has been nothing but shenanigans, JG has absolutely ruined his family name, despicable human being.

Regardless of what happens, through his shenanigans, Griffin has really set himself up for some powerful attack ads should he run for public office again.

“Jefferson Griffin fought hard to have the votes of the men and women who serve our country in the armed forces thrown out and not counted….
…Jefferson Griffin: anti-U.S. military, anti-democracy, anti-the American Way.”

Possibly. I'm sure they happen but I can't ever remember a TV ad for a judge's race. Then again, they may happen all the time and they just all blur together. It would certainly be powerful if there's enough money and interest to get it out there.
