I can't believe you're still missing the point.
1. We could have easily left it at that? So you get to voice your opinion, and if someone disagrees, they get bombarded with accusations about things they didn't remotely say? We could have easily left it after my post as well.
2. The problem post was and continues to be: "Are you trying to say that HD is a better coach than Scheyer or Hurley?" At least in my mind. It's not about the difference between if and iff. It's about you twisting a statement that had nothing to do with HD into a statement about HD -- because, by your admission, you think about the relationship to HD all the time. Fine. I don't. Not about everything. And it's not your place to dictate the contours of the discussion to fit your mental paradigm.
To put it another way, HD could be the unrivaled best coach in the sport, or he could be the worst coach since Les Robinson, and it wouldn't have affected my post at all, which was responding to your claim that Katan (a weird spelling since there was a good NBA player by that name) had chosen a good replacement.
