NCAAT: San Diego State Biorhythms, 9:10 Tip

I guess the team saw the “controversy” about them getting in and decided to come out and say put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Yea...I think there are a bunch of other factors at play too. I think first and foremost we've already been finding our groove over the last month and a half, we just decided to live with JWit come hell or high water and now have much better size in the frontcourt and Drake can play his natural 3 spot, and we're settling into some stable bench rotations.

I think everyone picking Jaelyn up off the floor in the locker room after dook was a huge bonding moment for everybody. That's also the time when Coach Davis' character and life perspective is really going to be meaningful for everybody in that locker room.

I think taking the number one team in the country down to the wire was a huge confidence boost.

I think people saying they didn't belong pissed them off.

You add all that up and it's just a recipe for disaster for the team that has to play us first. Unfortunately for Ole Miss, none of that is diminishing one iota between now and Friday. If Ole Miss wants to win that game, they better play out of their minds, I think we'll be looking to punch somebody else in the mouth.

Also, I didn't know Ian was a Muslim?

That's awesome...it takes so much discipline and commitment to something greater than oneself to fast during Ramadan and pray 5x a day.

Also so interesting that Coach Davis the outspoken Christian and Ian the Muslim vibed so well together. They must have found a lot more in common with each other's faith than differences. That is just so cool.

This game was at night and he was able to get nourishment before the game and drink liquids during the game. That won’t be the case with a 4 PM start Friday vs Ol’ Miss. (and yes, I know that’s not how the rubes in Mississippi spell it. They’re wrong.)

I didn’t know that either. With a name like Ian Jackson, I assumed he must be Scottish, and I don’t know a lot of Scottish Muslims.

The narratives still echoed by Seth Davis and John Rothstein, etc. that UNC didn’t deserve to be in need to be stopped immediately. The goal of all the data (quad 1 and all the metrics) is to help identify the best teams. That’s the goal. Get the best teams in. UNC beat the dog shit out of SDSU and likely would again and again. SDSU stinks. If any team didn’t belong, it’s them.

other than amongst intolerant extremist factions, i feel like most people of faith respect other people of faith regardless of the particular religion or denomination.
