Yeah, I was pointing out how it’s been a pretty poor showing by teams on that side of the country. That’s not a lot of appearances and even fewer programs making those appearances.

this is pretty stunning and should be studied.
State’s going to get a hero’s welcome when they return to campus. Making the First Four is a big deal to them and much better than they usually do.
I was making a joke about State’s overall NCAAT success (or lack thereof) over the past 35 years. Are they? All the hype of year 1 WW and an expensive roster
Only to totally collapse in Feb & March and miss the round of 64 after a decent start to the season
Seeing some coping from ncst fans but the reactions seem mostly negative, as they should. That team flat out quit
The results overall aren't too different but how everything played out sort of is
Arizona is only in Pacific time half the year.I was curious, so I went back to look at all the teams that are in the Pacific time zone that have an appeared in the Final Four since 2000. And even though Arizona is not in the Pacific time zone, I am going to include them as well since AZ borders CA. So here it is, starting with most recent:
2023 - San Diego State
2021 - Gonzaga, UCLA (this was the only Final Four ever that did not include a single team from east of the Mississippi River; Baylor and Houston were the two other teams)
2017 - Gonzaga, Oregon
2008 - UCLA
2007 - UCLA
2006 - UCLA
2001 - Arizona
So in the previous 25 Final Fours, that’s a total of 9 appearances in 7 different years by 5 different programs.
I’ve worried about the tournament for 30 years on West Coast time.No one on the West Coast has needed to worry about the tournament for almost 30 years
Fortunately they don’t need him to win the first round and probably could advance to the Sweet 16 if even one or two more starters couldn’t play. Not loving our chances: Scheyer: "he's been progressing...very unlikely he plays tomorrow....he's itching to play...he's not there quite yet." "The comfort we want him to feel is not there. It is day to day. We'll do everything we can to get him ready for Saturday." (Pat N)
What does beating an 11 seed VCU with probably a payroll 10 times greater than them prove? Money well spent?
I figure most states fans are maga, so Will can just lie to then and say they are the real winners. Are they? All the hype of year 1 WW and an expensive roster

AZ is on Mountain Standard Time year round. When PST springs forward to PDT it aligns with MST in AZ, but to be precise AZ is never actually on “Pacific Time”.Arizona is only in Pacific time half the year.
That is what Arizonans like to claim. But in my book, MST and PDT are the same thing. So Arizona gets to be California time for 7 months and Denver time for 5 months.AZ is on Mountain Standard Time year round. Agree. They should be fine without Ngbonga for the first weekend.
I'd be more concerned about the Foster injury who is definitely out. Puts a lot of pressure on Cayden Boozer with no real depth behind him. Foul trouble or an injury could put them in a tight spot. That could be an issue later on in the tournament.
Chin up. Most sports books still have Duke as the betting favorite.Agree.
Honestly sucks that both of our teams may likely have seasons derailed due to injuries.

Let’s hope they’re wrong and you’re right!Duke needs Ngongba. Foster hasn't played two games like the two Cayden just played in his career. They will definitely miss his leadership and defense, and I understand your point, but Duke is razor thin up front without Pat. And they do not have anyone else who brings what he brings to the court.
Which is absolutely insane.
