Obviously a ton of these people are monsters, but something about Voight and Miller specifically make my stomach turn at a base level. Even if I didn’t know their politics, my natural reaction would be one of revulsion. Voight’s smug face is particularly enraging. If there’s a hell, they will both spend eternity there.

I’m in the “Let him cook” camp as well. Michael Steele put it nicely this weekend, though he was speaking about bipartisan efforts in Congress.

I'd say do it anyway. Trump has already proven that the legislative branch doesn't matter. Might as well take that lesson home to NC.

I’d prefer to see Democrats sticking their neck out to visibly fight on things like the OMB issue. It doesn’t need to be an outrage farm at every action like Trump 1.0, but it goes directly against what Democrats should stand for and claim to stand for to just roll over and let immiseration run rampant.

This is the perfect issue to highlight what government does every day that people don’t realize. And to say Democrats are fighting to keep these programs that help poor and working people alive.

Civil War, is too messy and who would want to keep us together after a few more weeks of Trump. Since Trump is already calling for himself to run again in four years, then just let the red states and Trump go form their own country. It would be wonderful to see how they deal with their leader on their own.

Do they know that states rely on federal funds for education, including paying teachers, and without these funds states won't be able to pay teachers?

Update...almost all of our federal grant admins told us today that until this is settled in a more permanent way, we should expect no reimbursements/distributions from our grants.

You are exactly correct. What’s funny is that these MAGA morons don’t realize how federal spending affects their lives. If this action by Trump is allowed to stand, they’re going to find out real quickly how much they depend on federal money.
