But that's not what RFK Jr said. He didn't say, "We need to look into this." Or "We need to study this further." He offered a conclusion. To me, this is providing more resources to the African population based on genetic differences. The medical establishment could keep those of primarily African decent on the same vaccination schedule as people of European decent. I would guess the majority of of participants in the studies that the current vaccination schedule is based on were of European descent. It's what we do today and it may be exactly right.
Or they could devote extra resources to study a population that has a more robust immunological response. They might find they need A lower dose or perhaps a higher dose or vaccinations at different times or they may find that it doesn't matter. But I don't think it's out of line or at all racist to at least devote those resources to study it.
1. No policy recommendations can follow from this, because racial classifications are subject to strict scrutiny and there's no way any of that could pass muster under that standard.Sounds like a pretty good plan. I'm not sure that RFK Jr is proposing anything different than a study based on his quotes.
Same sex marriage will not be ending because of Scott Bessent I think. They might end same sex marriage but not interracial marriage. Clarence Thomas is married to a crazy white Trumper. Then again, he is probably against interracial marriage personally, but would grandfather it for himself. That is the moral character of the pubic hair on coke can man.
Sorry, DODEshit said there would be no grant money.Sounds like a pretty good plan. I'm not sure that RFK Jr is proposing anything different than a study based on his quotes.
Scott Bessent ain't got a damn thing to do with it. Which of the relevant decision makers give a fuck about Scott Bessent?Same sex marriage will not be ending because of Scott Bessent I think.
We'll see. I think he has some sway with Trump.Scott Bessent ain't got a damn thing to do with it. Which of the relevant decision makers give a fuck about Scott Bessent?
What does Trump have to do with it? It was states who got Roe overturned and it would be states here. Just pass a statute doing something to gay marriage; people will sue; onto the Supreme Court. We'll see. I think he has some sway with Trump.
I think the state agitators will have a hard time getting traction if Trump isn't supportive. But we'll see. What does Trump have to do with it? It was states who got Roe overturned and it would be states here. Just pass a statute doing something to gay marriage; people will sue; onto the Supreme Court.
That's a lot of speculation here. First, we have to assume that Trump gives a fuck about Scott Bessent. No, sorry, first we have to assume that he remembers his Treasury Secretary's name. Then, if he has a fucking clue who Bessent is, we have to assume that he cares about Bessent's sexuality, which would be the first time Trump has ever given a fuck about that in his life. Then we have to assume that, even if he cares, he would take a public stance on it, and we'd also have to assume Bessent was last in his ear since Trump is very receptive to bullshit ideas, shall we say. And then we have to assume that state legislatures would decline to press the issue just because Trump doesn't full-throatedly endorse, when those same legislators were willing to break with Trump publicly during the campaign and complain he wasn't pro-life enough. And we have to assume **all** the states will follow that path, because it only takes one.I think the state agitators will have a hard time getting traction if Trump isn't supportive. But we'll see.
My wife and I have been getting the flu vaccine for years. About 6 years ago I caught the flu anyway. I only felt really bad for maybe a day and a half. So the shot definitely helped. I was in bed on the day I really felt bad. I was looking at the CBS News App. The title of an article said the flu vaccine that year was the least effective one in several years. I dropped my phone and said, “No shit.” Still, I’m glad I got the shot.Man, I simply cannot advocate enough for the seasonal flu vaccine. Both my wife and our 2-year-old have had influenza A this week (both are vaxxed), and I've definitely been exposed to it, and haven't had a single symptom after 9 days of it being in our household.
Do you really believe either of those statements are true?Sorry, DODEshit said there would be no grant money.
And, no study that looks at differences in race are permitted.
What does it suggest to you when the only way you seem to support the current administration is to hope they are lying? You're doing that with some regularity.Do you really believe either of those statements are true?
I don't support all of the current administration's policies but I am warming to it based on some of their policies. I do think some of the criticism towards the administration is overblown and a bit ridiculous. What does it suggest to you when the only way you seem to support the current administration is to hope they are lying? I didn't think it was either. I thought it was just you being you. My criticism stands. The best support you've offered is "Maybe he's lying."I don't support all of the current administration's policies but I am warming to it based on some of their policies. I do think some of the criticism towards the administration is overblown and a bit ridiculous.
My question was specifically asking him if he really believes that HHS is no longer issuing grants or if he believes that HHS never allows research on differences based on ethnicity? It shocks me that anyone would think that so I'm clarifying its not some sort of sarcasm or embellishment.
It's why the Respect for a marriage act was such a massive win. That's a lot of speculation here. First, we have to assume that Trump gives a fuck about Scott Bessent. I mean, maybe you're right. But my money is on Obegefell falling.
What specific policies by the administration are you "warming to?"I don't support all of the current administration's policies but I am warming to it based on some of their policies. I do think some of the criticism towards the administration is overblown and a bit ridiculous.

Not really what I was saying. You can go back and read what I was responding to and its clear.I didn't think it was either. I thought it was just you being you. My criticism stands. The best support you've offered is "Maybe he's lying."
Lower spending. The willingness to hold bureaucrats accountable for wasting tax payer funds. The willingness to look at new scientific information and not dismiss it out of hand. What specific policies by the administration are you "warming to?"
