He is just arguing a case...he knows it is a loser but his ego is too wrapped up in Trump and the way he has supported him. He will just argue it til the end of time and never realize that long ago he left his own morality and dignity behind.

It's always projection with these people. It's actually the Republicans with the "endemic disease", as they have multiple politicians with credible multiple reports of sexual harassment, assault, and rape (including their own POTUS) and they do nothing, because they don't care if women are harassed, assaulted, and raped. If they did then Donald Trump wouldn't be president, Kavanaugh wouldn't be on the Supreme Court, Hegseth wouldn't be Secretary of Defense (or whatever the hell they're calling him), and on and on.

And what's really telling is this guy's statement that he can't understand why Democrats would remove a leader of their party for such a thing. They just don't care, plain and simple, and it baffles them that Democrats actually do care.

Yeah, agree with you. This is the problem I see though, if two people go out and get obliterated together how is one extremely inebriated person supposed to gauge the level of inebriation of the other or vice versa? Swalwell was likely so drunk he wasn't capable of consent either. The answer is for them to simply not have sex, I just have issues ascribing criminal intent in that scenario.

Suppose a 20yo male college kid (me ) had been flirting with a female at a bar. Suppose both of them were inebriated. Suppose the male went back to his apartment and fell asleep. Suppose the male's roommate let the female into the apartment and she came into his room naked, aroused him out of sleep, got on top of him while he was still half asleep and the two had sexual intercourse without his consent.

In your opinion did the female rape the male ? Could the male file a criminal complaint ? or since the female was married, could he threaten a criminal complaint to get a payoff ?

Now keep in mind this occurred over 50 years ago. Would the male still have a legit case ?...asking for a friend
 
I havent followed this closely at all. But I assume that the reporting must be pretty damning? or is it all just rumors?

Exactly. And one would think the side which contains all of the evangelical "Christians" - and a shit-pot load of most other "Christians" - would take these allegations seriously, and denounce their candidate. Wasn't it that exact lot of folk who wanted to castrate Bill Clinton?
Yes, it was. And now look at them. When their "Savior" - or one of "theirs" is accused of the exact same sort of shenanigans, they claim "he was saved, and born again, and repented, and deserves another chance" or more likely: "he didn't do it, that's fake news, she's lying!" (Anita Hill)

It's a classic double standard to which these people hold their standard-bearers. But if there is a God, a Heaven and Hell... I have absolutely no doubt which mother-fuckers are going in which direction.

It's not just about party affiliation. It's about power and control. Both toward women and politically. If you value power and control over everything, your tolerance level for immoral/illegal conduct is much higher. The common ground lies there. Beyond that, it's a question of degree. There will always be deflection and projection. You can't argue that there are "good people on both sides" of the issue.

This is what I'm interested in. The only info I have are the allegations. It sounds like there is evidence out that supports the allegations.

Please give me the update on the damning evidence supporting the allegations. The timing of these allegations caused me take a wait and see what is the evidence .

Seeing evidence beyond allegations would enable me to form an opinion and I would be more than ok with calling for Swalwell to fry before he is brought to trial.

Absolutely and it makes sense that the public does not know what evidence the DA has. The DA is only a day into the investigation. I hope it will be thorough and be concluded in a timely manner. If the DA finds substantial evidence that Swalwell raped this woman in 2019 and 2024, then I hope the DA takes it to a grand jury, takes it to trial and convicts him of being a serial rapist, and then the judge sends him to prison for at least 20 years !

The point here, numbnuts, is that whenever it's a Dem, it is quickly condemned by the Dem party and appropriate action is taken. When it's a Pub, it's ignored or denied and distracted from until the news cycle changes and everybody moves on. The Pubs are no longer the party of morals and family values—and haven't been for a very long time. Which is why I left the party years ago to become a forever Indy.
