Depends on what you mean by ablation. I think you mean ablation as a specific treatment for atrial fibulation, rather than the removal of my pericardium (pericardiectomy), which preceded my development of Afib. If so, then no ablation of my heart. There may have been some minor and incidental ablation of my heart during the pericardiectomy. But, again, this preceded my develoment of Afib.
I meant a cardiac ablation using either heat or cold to destroy the extra electrical pathways causing the Afib. It’s a treatment for Afib as far as I understand and can be a more permanent solution over beta blockers and other drugs. But I’m sure you know about it.

Yes I do. But, MAYBE, the prior removal of my pericardium is a contra-indication for cardiac ablation.
 
I had an aortic valve(pigvalve) replacement 13 months ago. Hope to get at least 15 years out of that bitch.
 
I've been exercising more and eating healthier since January and one of the areas I've seen the biggest improvement is my resting heart rate - back in January it was in the 90s and now it's in the low 70s
