I meant a cardiac ablation using either heat or cold to destroy the extra electrical pathways causing the Afib. It’s a treatment for Afib as far as I understand and can be a more permanent solution over beta blockers and other drugs. But I’m sure you know about it.

Yes I do. But, MAYBE, the prior removal of my pericardium is a contra-indication for cardiac ablation.
 
Mine used to be around 65, but after everything going on in the world, it sits at around 250. I'm totally fine :)
 
I just saw this thread. A few months ago I started having heart palpitations (which turned out to be due, most likely, to a high-intensity phase in my training program). So, naturally, I freaked the fuck out and then made an appointment with my cardiologist. His recommendation was for me to wear a Zio patch for two weeks. According to the data, my average HR over that two week period was 56 BPM with a range from 30 BPM up to 135 BPM. (I'm in my mid 40s) Periodically I've measured my RHR, it's usually in the low 40s.

FYI, in case you're wondering, according to the data from the Zio patch my rhythm was sinus and I had rare isolated PACs and rare PVCs. I do have a family history of Afib and CAD :( .
 
My resting heart rate is 45-52. I do drink diet soda, but limit caffeine. I have A negative blood type, which can contribute to low heart rate. I’ve actually gotten alerts on my apple watch when it got in the low 30’s.
 
It’s interesting to see the effects exercise has. According to my Garmin the last few months I’ve been around 52-53. Did a two-week block of training on the bike to start getting ready for some racing in October. I rode every day with an average duration of around an hour and a half. During that time, my heart rate creeped up toward 60. With two days’ rest, it was at 47 last night.

Now I just wish 5 pounds would come off as easy as 5 bpm 😂
