God, this is depressing - prideful ignorance. As they say, the more you know, the more you realize you dont know, and yet here he is, proudly displaying his ignorance. He sounds more like a 5th grade kid in the school yard than a Secretary of HHS.

ok, so I have been day drinking since 7am, but I had this idea...

Bill Gates has billions upon billions at his disposal and has a keen interest in public health.

The CDC budget is around 10 billion
The NIH budget is around 50 billion

Bill's net worth is over 100 billion
Bill has a good relationship with Warren Buffet who is worth 150 billion
Michael Bloomberg is worth over a 100 billion

What a legacy for 70 yo Bill and 80yo+ for Buffett and Bloomberg


Those three could establish an independent institute and recreate the CDC and NIH . The world looks to the CDC and NIH as the gold standard, and an independent institution like this could attract commitments to support this health institute.
