Despite what Rubio said, I think RFK, Jr. would have a tough time getting senate approval to lead any agency. I have a feeling he will have a shadow role. I also think Trump may just jettison him at this point as he serves no further purpose. Give him the old Chris Christie treatment.

If Trump want’s him to head an agency, he will, IMO. If Senate won’t approve him to lead an agency, just get him in with a lower title, fire the leader and name RFK Jr Acting Secretary. By the end of Trump’s first term, we had a lot of “Actings.”

However, does Trump even want RFK Jr to head an agency? Trump’s already gotten his use out of him.

Having the Kennedy name makes Trump feel more important.

Posted in the other thread but I work in vaccine development. Regulatory affairs for a large pharma. I’ve only been doing it for about a year and a half but I’ll probably just go back to being a hospital pharmacist. Certainly seems we’ll have a target on our backs.

You are lucky in that there are presumably plenty of those jobs-pay pretty good etc

I don't see anything in the op's article about vaccines much less banning vaccines. The article is mostly saying that RFK Jr may get a role in the president's administration but it's doubtful he'll get a role that is powerful enough to need Senate confirmation.

Trump doesn't give one shit about Senate Confirmations. Lots of Acting Secretaries and whatnot in his last administration.

From what I’m hearing about their plans for vaccines is they don’t want to step on the political landmine of directly banning them. Instead, their plan is to pump out a bunch of government sponsored disinformation about how dangerous they are, then remove liability protections for vaccine manufacturers and eliminate the vaccine injury compensation fund to essentially get vaccines sued out of existence.

You understand that's the whole point, don't you?
