Thrive? Have you looked at him recently? With those constant bruises and the swelling in his lower extremities, he looks to be anything other than thriving. I would say congestive heart failure is gripping him pretty tightly these days.

The reason St. Donald of Mar-a-Lago purchased the Miss USA pageant was to get his hands (literally) on the Miss Teen USA pageant, as in "Oh!, excuse me, I must have open the wrong door," while lingering (and taking mental notes) to see how the mid-costume change teens responded to his intrusion.
