Surprise, the peace ball still hasn't moved down the court at all. Interesting that Putin was so direct in his rejection.

Putin has calculated that he can't survive with his wealth and power unless Ukraine is destroyed. No middle ground exists for Putin. Ukraine understands this.

The fascinating part is that Trump and his associates don't get it. They think if only there was peace that Putin would be so grateful that it would open up corrupt opportunities with Russia for Trump and his folks. This mis-match of interests is the only thing that explains why Putin can't seem to extract a deal from Trump that he can accept. Of course, if Trump could actually offer the destruction of Ukraine..........that would be accepted.

· Collapse the international order built on the ashes of World War II
