Are we going to get a Real Deal today? Or a Donald Trump Deal ?
More likely to get another anti-Zelenskyy rant by Trump than anything that could be remotely called a deal. From what I can tell, literally no progress has been made on peace negotiations since Trump’s inauguration. The only material change since then is that Russia has dramatically increased its missile and drone attacks.

If this war is settled on Putin’s terms it won’t be the end, just the beginning. There is no doubt that he has other territorial ambitions. He has to be stopped now. If not, he will target the Baltic states next. They are members of NATO and we will be obligated to come to their defense.

Speaking of that: It was predicted that Russia was about to seriously ramp up the number of missile and drone attacks. Instead, the numbers seem to have moderated a bit.

“… Ukraine's highly fortified, main defensive line in Donetsk Oblast that consists of cities that are significantly larger in terms of size and population.

Russian efforts to seize the rest of Donetsk Oblast by force would take several years given the number of fortified urban areas Russian forces must overcome to reach the Donetsk Oblast administrative boundaries.“

With European leaders appearing along side the Z man, I'm guessing our beta male president will not rant, demand, and attack. Rather, I think he will use his charming con strategy to ingratiate himself with his far superior guests in order to get their approval.

But after the meeting...
It will be a tale told by our idiot president signifying nothing

Seriously??

After reading pa

Seriously?? After reading page after page on this topic and the economic thread it is clear that many on site want the United States to fail and fail miserably because their party lost the election.

Over 75 million people voted for Trump. He won EVERY swing state.

More counties ever in history leaned toward the GOP from the last election.

But… as you can see from the posts here all that matters is that “Trump is bad” and is ruining America.

Calling MAGA a cult and then posting nonsense like above seems very hypocritical.

I guess that is why the Democrat party is polling just a tad above 28% approval Nationwide.

On the bright side…. You have 10-15 anti-Trumpers here to validate yourselves regardless of facts.
Hey man, do you support all pedophiles or just the ones that slurp Putin?

Even if Trump secured an awesome win for Ukraine peace deal you obviously wouldn’t acknowledge it.

Between you and Nicole Wallace I’m not sure who is more deranged.

That dude broke you. And you have 3.5 more years left to deal with him!!!

Trump didn't break anybody. He's old, fat, and eventually the diet and stress will take their toll. It is just sad that people like you willingly joined a cult and openly fellate a pedophile who tried to overturn an election and openly encourages political violence. History will look at the GOP from 2020-2026 the same way it looks at the Germans from 1930-1945. This is the last gasp of the GOP.

2015-2029

“… Trump tried to justify his failure to secure a cease-fire. His Truth Social post claimed that going for a “peace agreement” was a more laudable aim, as cease-fires break down.

In reality, Trump got played by Putin. Under the proposed understanding, which Trump backed in a phone call to European leaders, Ukraine would have to withdraw its forces from Luhansk and Donetsk, ceding territory the Russian military has tried and failed to capture since March 2022, and agree to freeze the front line in two other regions, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia—all just to get to the starting point for negotiation of a settlement.

This approach would put Kyiv in a very precarious position. It crosses key Ukrainian red lines, such as no ceding of unoccupied territory and no international recognition of occupied areas as Russian. Moreover, Putin seems to believe the Russian military will ultimately prevail on the battlefield. He could at any time declare the negotiation to have failed and resume hostilities. Having taken possession of all of Donetsk, the Russian military would not have to face the heavily fortified defensive lines that have long stymied its advance.

The one positive development was reported U.S. readiness to join some European countries in giving Ukraine a “robust” security guarantee. Details are lacking, other than that the guarantee would not come from NATO.…”
