There are two possible explanations for Vance’s response: Vance is just not very smart and in rushing to defend Trump’s unqualified envoy, he is unintentionally drawing attention to an article likely to be swallowed by the daily news cycle. Or he’s in on it and wants to draw attention to the article to undermine competition for Trump’s affection while burnishing his own lapdog reputation. Either way, it’s just begging more people to read the original article to see what the fuss is all about.

The fruits of his negotiations are that we have narrowed the list of open issues in the Russia-Ukraine war to a set of clearly defined issues--specifically, security guarantees and territorial concessions. VANCE

So that is what the VP claims as his defense for what he says was " meant to hurt the administration and one of our most effective members. " You know, failure is failure. He should just let us know when Trump is going to give Ukraine security guarantees. That's in Trump's/Witkoft's ball court.

European leaders are starting to catch on that kissing Trump’s Ass gets them nowhere …

Ha, pretty sure they already knew but they could have read this thread and seen what was predicted. On the other hand, Its a sure bet everyone who participated in Trump's dog and pony show are holding their hands out for a little scratch. Saw a few days after the White House meeting that Trump called Hungary's Orban and asked him not to block Ukraine EU membership (or something like that) The timing of that suggests that Zelensky extracted a favor or two. Bravo.

Surely not

“The Trump administration has denied any support for Chinese peacekeepers in a hypothetical demilitarized zone as proposed in peace talks with Ukraine and Russia as the three nations continue to seek a path towards resolving the ongoing war.

…”… There was no discussion of Chinese peacekeepers. It is not in the national interest to further negotiate these issues publicly."…”

Is that a full throated denial or a non-denial denial? Cause someone could suggest something and not discuss it if there is not backs and forth …

Trump casts doubt on Putin-Zelensky meeting: ‘Maybe they have to fight a little longer’

“… “A [trilateral] would happen. A [bilateral], I don’t know about, but a tri will happen. But, you know, sometimes people aren’t ready for it,” Trump told the Caller’s White House correspondent Reagan Reese in an interview published Saturday.

“I say … I use the analogy. I’ve used it a couple of times. You have a child, and there’s another child in the lot, in the playground, and they hate each other, and they start swinging, swinging and swinging, and you want them to stop, and they keep going,” he continued. “After a little while, they’re very happy to stop. Do you understand that? It’s almost that way. Sometimes they have to fight for a little bit before you can get them to stop.”

The president added, “But this has been going on for a long time. A lot of people are dead.” …”

“… Trump, again, ruled out having U.S. troops on the ground as part of a security guarantee, but signaled openness to offering U.S. air support to help halt the war, something he floated earlier this month.

“Maybe we’ll do something. Look, I’d like to see something get solved. They’re not our soldiers, but there are, five to 7,000, mostly young people being killed every single week,” the president told Reese in the interview.

“If I could stop that and have a plane flying around the air every once in a while, it’s going to be mostly the Europeans, but we, we’d help them.”

“They, you know, they sort of need it, and we’d help them if we could get something done,” he added….”

Can Putin even do a peace deal with Ukraine? If he does, then that legitimizes the Ukrainian government. Don't think the Russian people would buy into that and see the war as a failure. Not good for Dictator longevity.

Wasn't today the day the deadline rump had given Putin/Russia? Seems not much of a deadline. Surprise.

Like predicted, Trump's Alaska show had no affect on the war. And the war will drag on. Another Trump failure.
