the sanctions are effectively weak and not a deterrent. Europe and China saw to that and even if europe doesn't buy another drop of oil from russia, china and india will so nothing accomplished. Prolonging this war only works to russia's advantage as they might wind up with the whole thing or at least kyiv.

That's not for us to decide. It's bad for us to stab them in the back while aiding Russia. If Russia ends up with more ,let them give blood for every inch of it the Ukraine is willing to fight for.

Mind your own goddamn business, pal. This doesn’t involve you, and you should like to keep it that way. I don’t ever insult anyone unless they start it. In this particular instance, I always go out of my way to not proactively engage Callatoroy under any circumstance, but he always follows me around insulting me either in direct responses to my posts, or as he did this afternoon, in another post that didn’t even involve me. You want to police him, too, hall monitor? Or do you want to just keep virtue signaling?

I have literally never denied that I am willing to be a prolific shit talker when someone talks trash to me first. I have always maintained that I will not engage in shit talking or insults proactively. I have never, in all of my time on this board, acted like I’m above fighting fire with fire. Anyone who doesn’t like that is free to use the ignore button- or kick me out of the community. This particular poster has a particular hard-on for me like nobody else- I have received DMs from multiple posters asking what the hell the deal is with him and if I know him in real life. I do not. He follows me around insulting me like he does to nobody else, even though I quite literally never preemptively engage with his posts. So, yeah, I’m going to be an asshole to someone who wants to be an asshole to me. I’m not sorry about it.

Your mistake is believing that I care about anything other than responding in kind to someone who has been following me around begging for my attention, insulting me when I haven’t said anything to him in the first place, and even talking shit about me in posts where I’m not even part of the conversation. I quite literally could not care less whether you are amused or un amused by my insults, because they are not directed at you or anyone else. They have an audience of one. They’re not intended to be clever, they’re not intended to be funny. They’re intended to humiliate the one person to whom they are directed, and they clearly work, because he clearly has a singular erection for me and only me.

I’m glad that he has you to cape up for him though. He was completely out of gas. You are such a big strong hero for coming to the rescue of the damsel in distress!

I was more commenting on the ease with which shit talking like that comes to you. It would take me half an hour to craft your rants. Which isn't to say that I don't have my own rants, but they are different.

I don't want to lose perspective here. I invoked the concept of "the ease with which it comes" for a reason -- there are other things that sometimes Southern white men utter that spur similar responses, and I'm very glad you don't and I very much doubt you do in real life or anywhere else. If your weakness is shit talking when provoked -- well, there are worse weaknesses to have, that's for sure.

Still, it's a bit jarring for me. Maybe it's just style rather than substance.

Stop it, chief. I’m telling you one more time to not involve yourself. It had nothing to do with you, it has nothing to do with you, it has nothing to do with any other poster on this board except for the one single person who has been following me around talking shit to me. That poster has a choice every single time he types out a post in my direction, to stop his shit. I repeatedly told him I don’t care about him, I don’t care to engage him, but I’m going to respond every single time he insults me. If you don’t like that, or if anyone else doesn’t like it, feel free to put me on ignore or boot me from the community. Doesn’t matter to me either way. To everyone else, I sincerely apologize for my part in derailing this thread and will make this my last non-Ukraine war related post. I sincerely apologize to every single poster, except for one, for the lewdness in my posts. I grew up with 62 first cousins, 41 of whom (thanks super!) are male, and I’ve spent a whole lot of time in my life on sports teams and in locker rooms where the shit talk flows freely. I am certain that because I’m pretty immune to course language, I’ve gotten carried away with crassness here on this thread, and for that I apologize and will aim to be better. I will try to remember that not everyone has the same tolerance or threshold for trash talking as I do. It’s what makes every single one of y’all, again except for one, better human beings than me in every single way.
