Russia - US | Ukraine “peace negotiations”

Negotiations are generally held in private away from the press for exactly the reason against events as happened today.
Trump’s handlers nefariously brought the press (including Russian state media) into the negotiations so as to influence the Ukrainian public into accepting the Russian terms.

To everyone involved, could you please throttle back on the direct personal attacks and name-calling and jumping to FU/GFY etc as a knee-jerk response?

I am asking on behalf of other posters — we let a lot of that stuff go because we all seem to be adults here and adults get mad and seem to need to vent etc, fine. But could you guys calm down with the name-calling using genitalia slang and slurs (which is coming from all directions)?

Posters with an interest in the topics here are understandably (for the most part) agitated, but for the good of discussion I am asking you guys just to throttle back on some of the offensive direct personal attacks. The board software doesn’t edit the language but it would be great if you guys could self-edit the offensive personal attacks directed at other posters.

I'm sorry to disappoint, but Trump is slashing our NIH budget soon, so I have no time for a good Photoshop job of my own.
 
NATO is over. Euros will need to ramp up. Poland, Germany, Baltics should be alarmed. They will need to beef up their defenses. We're going to have a nasty trade war with all sorts of collateral damage.

If I'm in Taiwan...I'd be very uneasy sleeping at night.
Heck, I'm even wondering Canada should get nukes as a deterrent.

This realignment has likely made the risk of humanity ending via nuclear war substantially higher. It’s concurrently rational and irrational, but if I’m UK, Germany, France, Spain, Scandinavia, etc. I working together to substantially increase nuclear deterrents and increasing militarization to levels not seen since 1940s. Otherwise, you’re just asking for Russia and the US to pick you apart.

The nuclear club will number in the 20’s in 15-20 years. If we’re lucky.

It is actually nothing like that. Europe's aid was in the form of a loan. Why would we give more aid than Europe, Europe get paid back but not the US. As well, those minerals will sit there until Russia takes them or China comes in and gets them because ukraine doesn't have the capability to get them.. It is actually very smart on trump's part and it provides some security to ukraine as we would be invested in the country. putin isn't going to attack again if we are there.

At the time Iraq had the 4th largest army. Plus, the allies committed actual troops for the fight not just money and equipment.

Calla my man, you really think Trump knows what he's doing? This isn't a deal on a NJ casino. And Trump got screwed on those casino deals most of time.

Today not withstanding, seeing the left criticize trump for the way he chooses to deal with putin after having 12 years to show how smart and tough they were only to yield two invasions on their watch is kind of like gardner webb giving football advice to alabama. Only the left doesn't know how dumb they look when they do it or how impotent they looked while russia said fuck you to obama and biden. They actually think they have some credibility on the issue. Its kind of cute and sad at the same time.

Dr. Bob, until today I felt sure he did. After today I hope he does. The last 4 years haven't resulted in much success regarding putin. trump had 4 years to learn so we will see. Many on here don't like bill oreilly but he is a fairly smart guy. Check out his take on trump dealing with Zel and putin. You might not agree with him but it is worth the 5 minutes to listen.

Biden fumbled the ball prior to the invasion
Initially after the invasion he was standing strong in putting the coalition together and scored a TD
After that he fumbled again as he failed to manage the coalition and his slow playing weapons and their uses showed weakness

So far the left is 0 - 2 against putin.
