Did anyone see Trump's press conference around lunchtime on East Coast? I believe it was generally slated for the Supreme Court rulings but I am not sure. I only caught the tail end while having lunch in my office, as he was being asked questions.

Who WERE those "reporters," I've never seen so much sucking up to Trump and congratulations for him. And every question seemed to be a softball setup question to lead him to sing his own praises.

Is the White House press corps all plants now, or are they just afraid after being beat up by Trump and Hedgeseth? Have they just given up and now realize that the SCOTUS is giving Trump free reign to act as Dictator? It was very strange.

And AP classes in Social Studies are really going to be thrown into chaos, as they do emphasize a more rigorous curriculum and examination of controversial parts of American history compared to many classes. They'll likely have to water down what they teach significantly.

Yes, but then the teacher has to deal with those parents when their kid is behind, getting back grades, etc. It's going to put more work on teachers and more headaches. It will lead to even more grade inflation and students coming into the university who are not prepared, at all, to be there. (Yes, this is a global rant, not just localized at this one issue.)

I doubt there is anyone on this board who hasn’t received at least one class action postcard or email in the past five years.

Oh I get them-they make little sense to me how to actually "enroll"-and I toss them..Usually conciding I am giving up $5.45 by not spending a couple hours "joining"

No doubt. The issue is should parents be allowed to opt out of books that say doctors shouldn’t “assign” gender at birth for elementary school students? Some parents would rather elementary kids not get into all that. The issue is - should it be forced on them? That’s what the court was ruling on.

The Apple ones have been pretty lucrative as of late. I got a $1,500 rebate check plus $300 cash on one of the Honda battery cases. $5.45 would be ignored though.

I remember growing up many moons ago when one kid had to sit out of a class Halloween party because his parents were Jehovah's witnesses. Sucked for that nine year old but I can't imagine it was that difficult for the teacher. She just set up a desk in the hallway and let the kid read.

I guess I'd have to read these books to understand that point. Most of what I've read or 4ead about don't mention doctors assigning gender, they are more along the lines of what John Kennedy read aloud on the Senate floor.

But, what i see as a bigger question is how the general public interprets it. I'm sure personal biases will play a role. That's how books like "And Tango Makes Three" gets banned.

Also, why are LBGTQ topics so scary to young students yet many of those concerned will expose their children to the Bible? And we all know the spectrum of stories in the Bible.

Are you saying that kids learning about Jael screwing Sisera until he fell asleep, then driving a tent peg through his head sets a bad example? How about Lot's daughters. some of the finest people rescued from Sodom and Gomorrah, getting him blind drunk so they could screw him and both get pregnant by him? That's just good clean Biblical fun like with David and Bathsheba.

As you know, 23(b)(2) injunction classes are easier to certify than 23(b)(3) damage class actions. The devil will be in the details going forward and it may well be that the Supreme Court makes it harder to certify these 23(b)(2) classes going forward. OTOH, I am not sure the Supreme Court wants to adopt a rule that results in 100 identical lawsuits clogging up the district and circuit courts going forward.

This one will take time to play out and measure the true impact.

I think this is correct. I am a little worried about fuckery when it comes to commonality, but what I like here is that for once, sanity has the advantage. Class cert will be much easier for meritorious suits than the 5th Circuit bullshit where they get a few doctors to whine and then suddenly we can't have abortions any more.

I recieved $12 from Equifax. That equates to about $0.0000000000001 per hour for all of the time spent clearing my credit report of fraud due to their poor practices regarding reporting and data protections.

I truly hate equifax.

Yes, I can understand it being hard for you to see. I imagine I'd have a hard time seeing it to if I intentionally turned away every time. We can all change our behaviors, it's not too late. As I said before, don't choose to be dumb.
