So in those states where laws have recently passed to require the Ten Commandments to be posted on classroom walls, can parents who are neither Christian nor Jewish opt their kids out of those classrooms?

And what aspect of LGBTQ-related topics is relevant to Christianity? How is being exposed to any LGBTQ-related subject matter in conflict with being Christian? And what about literature where the subject matter involves someone who kills another person? Can they opt out of that? That subject matter seems more directly in conflict with Christian beliefs.

What? No, I'm not challenging the veracity of the story. I'm calling out the blatant burying of their head in the sand when it comes to issues that arise due to students "opting out" of class.

I don't mean to be hysterical about this, and you guys may be right. I'm just envisioning a world in which (a) it takes 12+ months to get a class certified, in which time any manner of shittery can happen, or (b) lawsuits are filed in every district in the country seeking a local injunction. I literally could not be happier that Abilene, Texas is no longer the center of the legal universe, but I really worry about what this has done to civil procedure.

I don't know much about the practical details, but I simply do not think that the class cert in this case (for instance) would take more than an afternoon.

There's also provisional class cert, which wasn't addressed.

Is the White House press corps all plants now, or are they just afraid after being beat up by Trump and Hedgeseth? Have they just given up and now realize that the SCOTUS is giving Trump free reign to act as Dictator? It was very strange.
