This is a hypothetical. I did not mean to imply this actually happened. But I am sure one could find many cases of therapists being stripped of their license for providing improper care to patients -- almost all of which would be speech related.
Again, I'm relying upon my experience back in the day. We had our license board, not a state regulation that would strip a license.
I cannot recall a license being stripped based upon speech , but actual concrete evidence of improper conduct like sleeping with a patient or improperly filing for bogus insurance charges.

As an old codger therapist, you should not advocate for conversion therapy, you should not sleep with your patients, advise a patient to commit suicide or flimflam your patients with bogus insurance payment filings no matter what may be the regulations are in this brave new world.

Words are medical procedures when the procedure is talk therapy.

California has no issue with religious leaders performing conversion therapy. It is when medical professionals attempt it.
Why is it that we are supposed to trust medical professionals, and the verbal medical evaluations of patients, when it comes to surgery to match the body to the mind but we don't trust medical professionals when it comes trying to match the mind to the body for a known mental condition?

Every license can be stripped. That's the whole point of having them.

There might not have been any instances of it because therapists were not abusing their patients with "conversion" or perhaps you weren't aware of it.

The whole point of the law SCOTUS just overturned was specifically to strip the license of therapists performing unsafe treatment modalities.

i'm suggesting you're comparing transgenderism and homosexuality to cancer.
I was doing nothing of the sort. I was using an illustrative example to ask a general question about viewpoint neutrality. If we shouldn't be viewpoint neutral about cancer, we also shouldn't be viewpoint neutral about conversion therapy. They are both unhealthy and dangerous. Like I said, the majority has no answer to that and it exposes how they were just making stuff up as usual.

Good enough... Did those therapists get stripped of their license ? Did those dead patient's relatives sue in a court of law ? If so, did they win ?

not being snarky.... I honestly want to know because as I said before, it has been quite a few years since I retired from the biz.
Also that day drinking at 7 AM has probably killed a lot of brain cells.
