By happenstance, yesterday I saw a YouTube video on the range of a 12-gage shotgun shooting slugs. The guy was shooting at a barrel approximately 100 yards away. It took him three shots before the actually hit the barrel. He indicated his aiming point was approximately ten feet above the barrel.

I think you are going to in for a rude awakening.

For the sake of the country, and that includes the right, the middle, the left, and even the far left, Republicans need to wake up, forget about all this decorum, and realize what they are now facing in this new Democratic party and the extremes they are willing to go to in order to push their agenda and stay in power. The Democrats already tried to eliminate the filibuster in order to ram through their agenda. Is there any doubt they will try to do it again if they are in position? Do you think Republicans should eliminate it now that the shoe is on the other foot and they are in that position? Should Republicans now be willing to match what Democrats tried and see if they can do what it takes to ram through their agenda?

I don't think you have to worry about that. Republicans are still playing by a set of rules that Democrats have long since abandoned.

He has been extorting equity stakes or profit sharing from US businesses by bad faith regulatory action. The corruption probably exceeds all corruption in US history combined. He has profited in the billions of dollars selling out US interests (allowing export of AI chips for $500 M investment in his coins, for instance). He has been trying to create new tariff regimes entirely without authorization.

The idea that the GOP is playing by the rules and Dems are not is such a perversion of reality that I wonder how you even function in life. Like, do you just walk into walls? Do you remember how to use doors? Do you have a garage? Open it before you try to drive out.

The problem isn't that PB is an intentional bootlicker, it's that he's completely and totally brainwashed by propaganda to the extent he has no idea that he lives in a reality-free belief system. The former can be solved by showing the boot he's licking is worn by a terrible person, the latter can only be fixed by somehow detaching the viewer/listener from the source of propaganda, typically against his or her will.

I'm not going to derail the thread, but a single female isn't a serious threat to anyone inside the building unless she's armed....or the greatest hand-to-hand fighter on earth.

I agree that Capitol police can't wait to find out whether she is or not, which is why I support shooting her.

I’ve been watching Homeland and thinking about how from 2000-2015 the biggest threat to America was terrorism. An external threat.
And now I am blown away and horrified that the biggest threat to America is internal. It is Donald Trump and those who support him. Traitors all of you. But hey White Power!!! White is Right!!!!!

I left home at 18 and did not touch a gun until I retired and moved back to the farm. My cousins were into training bird dogs. I got hooked and started bird hunting again. I now routinely hunt in Texas and Nebraska as well as NC. I hunted yesterday with two GSPs and shot my limit of quail. I hunt exclusively with shotguns made before 1960- many are highly engraved works of art.

While I think there are people for whom assassination is justified, I wouldn't put Kirk or Trump in that category.

Still, as time goes on, you have to appreciate the planning and execution by Tyler Robinson.
