huh?the Obama/Pelosi ruling cabal.
You know, the one that Bannon/Miller/Musk is replacing.huh?
Seriously, you think Biden called all the shots during his Presidency? Obama/Pelosi knifed him in plain sight once he was of no use to them.huh?
Well, they did a damned good job on the economy after Covid compared to any other G7 nation no matter who was in charge.Seriously, you think Biden called all the shots during his Presidency? Obama/Pelosi knifed him in plain sight once he was of no use to them.

Identity politics has worked well for us for 250 years , why stop now?Identity politics are so stupid. Kamala Harris herself didn’t even run on “I’m running to be the first female president/first Black female president/etc.” It doesn’t matter. Nobody cares. I don’t even buy that the majority of people who voted for Trump did so to vote against Kamala because she’s a woman and/or Black.
Because the vast majority of folks in this country, regardless of their race, ethnicity, religion, etc, prefer to be identified simply as “Americans.” If identity politics worked, the Democratic Party would never lose elections. As it stands, we just lost an election because a whole bunch of Latinos, and to a lesser degree Black men, chose to vote for the Republican candidate despite the Republican candidate openly talking about denaturalizing and deporting immigrants, who coincidentally all work “Black jobs.”Identity politics has worked well for us for 250 years , why stop now?
Wait. Are you claiming that Trump didn't just run the most identity politics-based campaign in history? His whole campaign was about identity politics.Because the vast majority of folks in this country, regardless of their race, ethnicity, religion, etc, prefer to be identified simply as “Americans.” If identity politics worked, the Democratic Party would never lose elections. Damn, that's a good analogy. And the condition of Rohan at the time also fits what will probably be the condition of the country in two years as well.
I should clarify. *Democrats* aren’t allowed to do identity politics. That’s woke. It’s okay when Republicans do it. It’s just telling it like it is.Wait. Are you claiming that Trump didn't just run the most identity politics-based campaign in history? His whole campaign was about identity politics.
Yeah, it's something listening to Republicans brag that identity politics don't work when Trump's entire campaign was an appeal to men, working-class whites, and Evangelical Christians that their identity and "tribe" were under attack and had to be defended. I saw a tweet today from a Trumper which showed a map of what the election would have looked like if only women voted and it was a Kamala landslide, and the tweet was expressly thanking men for getting out to vote for Dear Leader. You can't be much more identity-based politics than that.Wait. Are you claiming that Trump didn't just run the most identity politics-based campaign in history? His whole campaign was about identity politics.
I actually agree on further thought. Just thought it would make an interesting conversation.OP: no. This idea shouldn't even be considered and would be seen as weak sauce political gamesmanship. It would also cheapen the significance of a female PoC attaining the highest office in the land on her own merit, if and when it finally happens.
MAGA won and Dems lost - for the 2nd time now - when it should have overwhelmingly been a slam dunk the other way. It's the sequel to 2016: 2016 Part Deux!
This election was going to be the death knell for one of the parties, and if you can't win with 1) a billion dollars and 2) objective reality (what we used to call "the facts" or "the truth") on your side, for the second time, you've got a gigantic problem.
So, it is now time for the current Democratic Party to die (figuratively) and be reborn.
Y'all? There's little support in this thread for this idea.Y’all still don’t get it lol. Nobody cares about these identity politics milestones; especially when they are so obviously forced as this would be. The middle of the political spectrum just delivered this message loud & clear at the ballot box.
Biden has two months left as president and he hasn’t been mentally fit to be president for the 3 years and 10 months he has already served. He should finish out his term and then the Democrats should focus on nominating the best candidate based on merit in 2028. Not nominating somebody because of race or gender.
That's fair, and I apologize for some post-election frustration bubbling through there, now that I re-read my OP.I actually agree on further thought. Just thought it would make an interesting conversation.
Isn't it amazing that Biden " hasn't been mentally fit to be president for 3 years and 10 months" and yet has been the most successful 1st term governing president in modern American history ?Y’all still don’t get it lol. Your charade of trying to spin Biden’s term as a success is cute and I appreciate your persistence. But Biden’s legacy was forever tarnished on November 5th when Donald Trump won not only the electoral college but even the popular vote y’all love so much.Isn't it amazing that Biden " hasn't been mentally fit to be president for 3 years and 10 months" and yet has been the most successful 1st term governing president in modern American history ?
Just think what he could have done if he had been mentally fit ?
