Socks

I have white socks and black socks, same brand, so I don't have to be OCD about them. I do have a set order I usually wear shirts, though.
If you have 50 identical white socks and 50 identical black socks in a drawer and it is completely dark and you cannot see. How many socks should you take out of the drawer to guarantee that you have a matching pair of socks?

I do too, and have been known to wear one of each at the same time, although I generally try to avoid that harsh of a juxtaposition. I do, however, generally just put on the first two I pull out of the drawer or, more likely, pick out of the pile of clean ones that might be laying around anywhere. I'm honestly not trying to make farce's head explode here, but such are the facts of my sock situation...

"Not long ago, a friend told me that I was her uncle’s favorite among her friends because I am unassuming “and,” he added, “Ron wears white socks.” It was the first time I had heard anybody talk of socks — and what they mean — in years. If you’re a Baby Boomer, like me, you probably have something to say about socks because, when we were growing up, socks were a big deal. Admittedly, most of the fashions we championed make me cringe nowadays whenever I watch a movie or TV show from the 1970s. But the black socks/white socks divide is worth a bit of discussion."

If he has dryer sheets, then he likely has a washer/dryer and wouldn't be sending his socks out to be laundered.
I know that makes sense to you but so many folks today use the wash/dry/fold (I think it’s by the pound wet?!?) so perhaps unlike you others don’t enjoy doing laundry?
