This is why Democrats have to be clear to people that refusing to pass the DHS budget won’t have any impact on ICE funding. ICE already has an immense slush fund right now thanks to OBBB.
 
My take: The prevailing vibe must be that of the Clergy who came in, took a knee, began to pray. And when arrested and hauled off in handcuffs and zip ties, remained calm. Took the ride down the road and then later released. (Even if after a day or two in some type of holding cell.)

Also, the vibe must be that of blacks sitting calmly at a Woolworths lunch counter. Arrested, hauled off and then eventually let go.

Sure, honk the horns and blow the whistles - to a certain extent, bring out the cell phones and video every little detail. But whatever you do, leave your guns at home or well-hidden and never brandish them. Also, move your car and don’t blockade any roads; don’t go into one of the hotels where ICE is staying to start trouble… maybe just sit outside with candles and peacefully assemble and sing songs of protest.

Make doubly sure that the narrative to be recorded and played back on all TV and streaming platforms is that of the kneeling Clergy and the lunch counter sit ins.

Whatever you do, don’t give Trump the reason he’s so desperately looking for to invoke the insurrection act and bring in the military. A reason to suspend all voting in the fall… his Reichstag moment. Don’t give it to him.

Kill them with kindness. Peace and love. Flower Power.

You can stay vigilant and push back against the Nazis and fascists, just make sure to deescalate the situations, not enflame them.

I’m all for non-violence, but fuck “killing them with kindness.” These idiots need to be told they’re fucking worthless, fascist, scum. Ridicule these Nazi fuckers.
