I feel as if I can speak on this, as someone who lives three blocks from the school, as well as a graduate. And as someone who saw a blurred version of the video that's spreading virally.
1. This was a planned fight. Clearly. That's not surprising to me at all, knowing the area.
2. The only thing not planned was the kid who was getting attacked pulling out the weapon.
3. The thing that disturbs more more than anything was the way the kids acted at the end. How they all shuffled away like nothing had happened. THAT disturbs me more than anything else. That's a full blown disconnect from the violence they literally witnessed in front of their own eyes. Maybe it was shock? But I don't think it was. I think it was just the fact that they thought they could walk away after seeing what happened like nothing abnormal just occurred. That scares me more than the fight itself.
