When I was at UNC the saying was that they hadn’t cancelled class since the Civil War (so weren’t going to do it now). That said we only had one material winter storm while I was there, an ice storm my senior year, and they did not cancel class. Lots of asses busted on ice-coated brick sidewalks that day.

Here in Kansas they've cancelled school for yesterday, today, and tomorrow. They cancelled it for 3 days a couple weeks ago and then 4 days for the week after coming back from two weeks off for xmas break. This spring semester is absolutely insane. -30 tomorrow though.
