Finally, another Reds fan. Me too. First game I ever saw was at Riverfront against the Dodgers. Summer of 75 I think with those awesome Big Red Machine teams, and have been a fan ever since!Who is the Reds player? I am a (worn down and depressed) lifelong fan, would be good to be able to have another reason to root for my team!
Oh, and I think the Seahawks win by 2 tds, but hope i am wrong
Drake hasn't publicly “come out” as a Trumper, but sure is “spreading the good news” like an Evangelical from the South. For whatever that’s worth. Hope he’s a bit more like Billy Graham the original and not like Junior. Or as others have thought, hope he’s more of the Dean Smith-type Christian and not the Jim and Tammy Faye, Jerry Falwell, Maga-type variety. But all that shouldn’t matter in the Super Bowl. But I doubt he’ll sneak out of the locker room at halftime to take a peek at the Bad Bunny show. While it doesn't seem like Drake has not shared any public opinion about Trump, I remember reading a post on the old IC site that said his dad Mark and brother Luke were actually Trumpers. Have no idea how credible that is, or even if that's the case today - even if it was then.
But given Trump's friendship with Kraft, it's pretty much a lock that Trump will be pulling for Drake and the Pats.
I get it.Boston fans have seen enough championships over the years
are we just going to ignore the Celtics' 5 championships between '74 and '86?I get it.
But as a Boston sports fan since the 70s (although I dropped Celtics fandom in the 90s), it is worth pointing out that Boston was perhaps the worst sports city until this millennium. The Patriots were Cleveland Browns level of futility for most of my life. The Bruins never won. The Sox never won except for 86, and then Buckner-ed it away.
Yes, they have had a disproportionate share of professional success this millennium (a championship in all four major sports), but their sports were really bad for a really long time before that.
Yes, because I stopped rooting for the Celtics once Jordan made it with the Bulls.are we just going to ignore the Celtics' 5 championships between '74 and '86?
There are public records available online for political party affiliation for the entire Maye family if one is curious. Not that this is necessarily dispositive, but it may provide some hints. While it doesn't seem like Drake has not shared any public opinion about Trump, I remember reading a post on the old IC site that said his dad Mark and brother Luke were actually Trumpers. Apologies if this has already been posted. Fucking hilarious and I don’t even get half these references….
Anyone read about a controversy with the uniform?I'm rooting for Drake Maye AND the Seahawks. It's too bad they're not sharing the same uniform.
I have now that you asked:Anyone read about a controversy with the uniform?
I also read something about him not wanting to wear a rainbow arm band or something like that.I have now that you asked:

Fanatics apologizes for Super Bowl jersey backlash
Fanatics issued a public apology Monday night after fans complained about the rollout of Super Bowl LX merchandise for the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks, with frustrations centered on jerseys selling out quickly and patched alternatives drawing scrutiny online.www.reuters.com
“…In its statement, Fanatics said the matchup created "unprecedented challenges for us because of the massive surge in demand we saw from Patriots and Seahawks fans," adding "we've let Patriots and Seahawks fans down with product availability -- we own that and we are sorry."
The company cited the unusual nature of the moment as the root of its supply problem, noting that both teams missed the playoffs a year ago and entered this season with long odds before making a sudden leap to the Super Bowl.
That, Fanatics said, is "an incredibly rare occurrence that led to these two fan bases buying nearly 400 percent more jerseys since Thanksgiving vs. last year."
Even with increased orders, the company said it has struggled to keep team color jerseys in stock due to overwhelming demand, while promising that more inventory is arriving daily and that it is offering other options.…”
