They won’t.I wish they wouldn't concede. The only way trump changes is if his cult turns on him. Any concessions and the cult will take it as a win.
I'm sitting on a ton of dry powder but going to wait it out a bit longer. Trump seems particularly committed to making our international trade partners bend the knee.Same. I'm so tempted to buy some Apple stock. I could see Trump waffling any day now under pressure from somebody (not sure who that would be though).
Somebody needs to 25th Amendment....or something....this motherfucker, and soon.
What would Peter Thiel do?Would JD Vance change any Trumplican policies?
IMO, JD’s a spineless sycophant—he’s not a genuine psychopath like Trump. I think JD would be far more likely to abandon this stupid tariff bullshit given the blowback it’s causing—whereas Trump simply can’t countenance the fact that he’s wrong.Would JD Vance change any Trumplican policies?

So we've spent the last 3 months losing the trust of our most important economic partners, destroying the investment market, blasting our way towards an entirely unavoidable recession, and undoing the last two years of insufferably high, inflation-fighting interest rates by slapping massive tariffs on everything.
How the fuck are there still Trump supporters? I understand why a wealth tax on ultra rich people isn't great economic policy, but I'm having trouble imagining it'd be as dramatically bad as this. For one thing, I don't think it would have ever passed even a moderately left-wing Congress. Secondly, a wealth tax doesn't piss off our economic allies.
I genuinely don't get the vision. Autarky? Stupid. Pulling low-wage manufacturing jobs from Asia? Why would you want to? Not to mention the calculus for these specific tariffs doesn't make any sense from either of those perspectives. It's just economic illiteracy.
What the fuck are we doing here? And where the fuck are all of the Trump tip suckers on this board? Get the fuck out here and defend this shit you cowards.
His bad? Really!Trump backer panicking.
