This is going to blow your mind, but there's such a thing as metonym. Sometimes we use the word proxy. As ChatGPT puts it:

"using skin color to define racial identity is a kind of metonym—specifically, it’s metonymic shorthand where a physical trait stands in for a broader, socially constructed category."

You're confusing the shorthand for the concept. It's not that different from the way we talk about "big men" in basketball. There is obviously so much more than height that separates players, and even their play style, but "big man" is a shorthand to refer to the collection of traits we associate with tall players.

Of course, it's not that skin color is unrelated to race. It's just that race is so much more about skin color, even if we use skin color words as shorthand because other formulations are wordy. You would hoot and holler at a formulation like, "racial identities based on societally imposed feelings and perceptions of inferiority, often due to skin color or assumptions about skin color." So we say dark-skinned for brevity.
Of course race is more than skin color but the political discussion is virtually never a discussion about genes or anything, honestly, intelligent. If anything, it's a race to the bottom... pun intended. Who can generalize the most, sound the most simplistic and sound the least intelligent? Dems like to fancy themselves educated and informed, yet continually sound like freaking idiots when talking about race, which only puts them in line with the actual racists.

The majority of people don't even use race or racism correctly because the majority of Mexicans are part of the Caucasian race.

Says the guy who thinks that it was the sex and not the mannerisms that I was noting. Points out the true misogynist. You haven't missed your foot with a shot yet.
The mannerisms are based on sexual stereotypes and are still intended to be insults based on those sexual stereotypes.

As to your first question, the answer is clearly you.

As for the second issue, you betray yourself. The majority of people are not less knowledgeable than you. They just understand race better than you do. And for what it's worth the phrase is race or ethnicity and Hispanic/Latino is usually regarded as an ethnicity. The practical difference between ethnicity and race is close to nil. In both cases, the driving factor is ancestry.

Then maybe you should be more sympathetic with other males showing their feminine side.
Other than clearly trying to deflect, I have no idea what you're talking about, but that isn't stopping you from continuing the misogyny.

And yet still manage to sound less intelligent, likely because they are obsessed with it.

The difference is close to nil when you're someone who is obsessed with melanin and ignores the reality of what race really is. For the rest of us, it's a huge difference and, in most cases, makes true racism/xenophobia, as we see in society, ridiculous.

The racists don't care that Ernie Els is here. The racists don't care that Elon Musk is here because they're obsessed with melanin not science. The same is true with far too many democrats.

I agree that the freezing of funding, especially for businesses that contracted with the US, wasn't a good thing. It could have been handled differently and maybe the ATC situation has been made worse by cuts. I don't know. But the panic regarding the "hatchet" DOGE cuts was widespread. With the exception of some hurt by funding freezes, which wasn't a headcount cut, has there been any significant impact to federal government services? Have social security checks stopped going out? Have students been unable to attend college due to issues with student loans? Has there really been anything significant that warranted the panic?
Who gives a fuck if any of this is true, it doesn't change the fact that:
1) This was the worst way to do this, for several reasons.
2) It screwed the people that lost jobs directly and those in towns where the primary employment was a government agency with other employment, indirectly.
3) It did impact some services and benefits, there's no possible way that many people were let go and the agencies upended and it impacted no one.
4) Bill Gates recently stated that Elon and his doge shit patrol are killing people by eliminating USAID funding. This was the catalyst for him upping his charity spending.

BUT, the biggest factor of all. The percentage of the federal budget that goes to pay for employees is 4.3% 4.3 fucking percent. And the percentage that lost their jobs was less than 10 percent, so that amounts to .43% of the federal budget. .43% fucking percent.

This is like you stating that your family has to cut back and you decide that not having one coffee a month is enough. IT MADE NO FUCKING DIFFERENCE in terms of the budget, the deficit, the debt, any of that. It only fucked people, it only fucked services, and it was all for show while the idiots that wrote project 2025 work to take us back to the 1950's when White Christian Men ruled and everyone else knew their fucking place.

So, STOP this fucking bullshit argument that any of this is good or made sense. It didn't, unless you are a white christian natioalist and behind the move back to the 1950's.

Had they really wanted to do anything about efficiency, there are way to have done it. The first thing would have been to actually understand what the departments do, what individuals do, the average pay, the ROI of the agency (not always in dollars), and the reason for the probationary employees.

BUT, if they really wanted to do anything with the budget, the debt, the deficit, then they would have started where the most impact could have been had, the military and tax policy.

So, basically your support of the doge shit patrol and Comrade Trump shows that you are a sad human being that wants to see other people suffer.

You can join Silence DoNothing at the saddest sacks of shit on this board. You are a sad human, when you enjoy the suffering of others.

Well, most of the cuts that people were afraid of have been blocked, so that is what has prevented a lot of the bad stuff people panicked about from happening.
And, the cuts are only a couple months old so it may take a while for some of the bad stuff to materialize.
But, it is estimated that 3 to 4 million additional deaths (including tens of thousands of children) will occur in the next year as a result of cuts to USAID. I guess we shall see.

Your melanin obsession is noted.
So, you're so dense that you don't see how this disproportionally impacts non white people?

Maybe you missed trumps statements during his campaign where he said we should invite more immigrants from "Good" countries. Good translated to "White" in other comments.

Now look at the latest rise in immigration. Where is it from? What skin color are those who are benefiting from it?

Your stupid repeated use of melanin obsession doesn't make you look smart, it make you look naive and uninformed.

I don't think your link shows what you think it shows.

Were some campsites closed temporarily? Yes. Were they all closed due to cuts? Not even close.

The first one listed is Great Smokey Mountain Park. I put in dates for early June and every campsite was available. Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennessee - Recreation.gov

Arches National Park has all kinds of tours available and the Fiery Furnce is giving out permits: Fiery Furnace Permits - Arches National Park (U.S. National Park Service)

Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, according to their calendar, has events every single day between now and October when they close for the winter. Special Events and Ranger Programs - Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park (U.S. National Park Service)

I could go on, but probably don't need to.

My life experience has nothing to do with it. I'm just asking if there have been reports of any serious issues?
NONE of this matters.

It doesn't make a damn difference, you are missing the bigger picture while arguing over minutia and subjective opinion.

Oh, the white Mexicans....

The majority of people don't even use race or racism correctly because the majority of Mexicans are part of the Caucasian race.
Exactly how would it be different if one is racist to a White Mexican vs being racist to a Brown Mexican?

So, the next time you are going to be racist, you should go on ancestry.com and look up the person's history. You wouldn't want to be racist to a brown person with European relatives.

And yet still manage to sound less intelligent, likely because they are obsessed with it.

SO, you being obsessed with contrarianism, where does that fall? Your being obsessed with claiming that racist are not racist because you know the word melanin?

You really should never use the term "the rest of us" as you are clearly an outlier, so stop pretending that you somehow fall into the majority with your ridiculous opinions.

Just like Silence DoNothing, you are a bad person.
